And I'm not vindictive in the least, but let's see what happens when it's one of them and not one of us prols. I'm standing right there with ya, Annie. If I'm going down, I'm taking some with me.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9026938007641012999.post-8649912188017427242009-02-11T03:55:00.000-05:002009-02-11T03:55:00.000-05:00There's already a woman in a state that has their ...There's already a woman in a state that has their own socialized care who the state deemed not worth the treatment she needed. She needed a very expensive chemo that cost about $3K per month, and the likelihood was that it would prolong her life for a few years. She felt it was worth living a few more years. The state did not concur, so they denied her.

The pharmaceutical company gave her the year's worth of drugs free - that big EEVIL corporation that supposedly wants to deny people treatment that the benevolent government benefactors want to give us all - except the opposite is true.

Now that these draconian and completely unconstitutional policies are being passed (isn't the Supreme Court going to HAVE to strike something like this down? It didn't even go through the proper procedure; it's a Trojan horse!) and the pharmaceutical companies and medical industries will be brought to their knees, halting progress in its tracks, the eeevil companies won't even be able to offer these good new treatments anymore, much less give them away to people who need them.

I feel very sorry for your in-laws; and I'm sorry for what a jolt this will be to them...people should probably learn to listen to us in the first place. We didn't want this because we knew what it would be, not because we hate people and begrudge them health care, as many assert.Anniee451https://www.blogger.com/profile/03066640571157938093noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9026938007641012999.post-88158516799438633422009-02-11T03:36:00.000-05:002009-02-11T03:36:00.000-05:00I can't wait to run this one by my in-laws.Who are...I can't wait to run this one by my in-laws.

Who are in their seventies.

Who are in increasingly less than stellar health.

Who voted for Obama.

Because they were afraid the EEEEVIL RETHUGLICANS were going to take away their health care, medicaid and social security.

Because that's what AARP (who is strangely silent on this issue) told them would happen.Larryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11308171394825291900noreply@blogger.com
