Pandagon has us pinned!
Limbaugh has given the marching orders: Obama Must Fail. Realistically, that means the Republicans feel that it’s their partisan duty to ruin this country with the hopes that ill-informed swing voters will vote for them in desperation next two election. Not just ruin Obama or the Democrats, but ruin the country. That unemployment rate needs to keep going up, according to Limbaugh’s orders, so they can blame Democrats and get elected, even if it’s actually their own fault.
Wow, I didn't know it was that bad. Limbaugh declared that Obama "must fail"? Holy mackerel! And that means, practically, that they are dedicated to ruining, not just elections, but the COUNTRY? Holy crap! We're in trouble! Limbaugh even ORDERED the unemployment rate to keep going up - omg! (That way he can falsely blame Dims.) I had no idea the plot went this deep.
Limbaugh has the power to shape reality! Let's hear the staunch warning from our friends at IMAO:
Limbaugh said he hopes Barack Obama will fail, so the Democrats have made a petition against Rush. See, they suspect Obama probably will fail, and then if that happens people will be like, “This is exactly what Rush hoped would happen! He has the power to shape reality!” And then the Democrats will be like, “What if the next thing he hopes is for man-sized badgers to bite our heads off?” But then they’ll hear a loud scratching at the door and cries of, “Kree! Kree!” (which is the sound I imagine man-sized badgers would make). Then the door will come crashing down and the Democrats will be like, “Aieeeee!”So that’s why they have an online petition.
Limbaugh will destroy the country with his words! KREE!!! KREE!!!!! The man-sized badgers are here to eat us all! And to usurp elections according to the will of Rush. Holy crap, we're in trouble! AIIIEEEEEE!!!!!

I think it's so funny that congressional democrats actually wasted their time (that our tax dollars fund) to create a petition about this.
What exactly are they petitioning for?? Aren't petitions usually supposed to achieve some kind of result?? Are they going to say "Hey Rush! We got 10 thousand people to say that they agree you are a poopy-head so now you must agree to give up your first admendment rights!" It useless and a waste of time and tax dollars when there are so many more important things that could be focused on.
Look for the return of the Fairness Doctrine, sooner rather than later. Air America failed because it couldn't attract enough advertising revenue to stay afloat. It couldn't attract enough advertising revenue to stay afloat because their listener base was miniscule compared to right-wing talk radio. The solution, you ask? Redesign the product to appeal to more listeners? Nah! Run the competition off the air in the name of fairness. That said, I stopped listening to Limbaugh, Hannity, Savage, et. al. years ago because I grew weary of hearing people yell at one another.

I feel ya. I'm actually not a fan of very many media personalities be it conservative or otherwise. But instead of making a stink about it like the dems, I just turn off whatever I don't want to hear.
I agree, Valerie. This petition shows just how childish and petulant the dims are. The fact that they could write this petition shows how much time they have on their hands. Which goes back to me saying it shouldn't be a full time job. We don't need full time law makers. If they had to work in the real world with the rest of us, they wouldn't be so far removed from reality. Assholes!
Good point, Valerie. I never thought about a national petition because Rush & Co. gave me a headache. maybe I should have.
Hehe Valerie - "Hey Rush! We got 10 thousand people to say that they agree you are a poopy-head"
That's hilarious.
"It useless and a waste of time and tax dollars when there are so many more important things that could be focused on."
At the same time, Valerie, consider the old saw by Will Rogers
"Never blame a legislative body for not doing something. When they do nothing, they don’t hurt anybody. It’s when they do something is when they get dangerous."
Rush was kind of encouraged that they couldn't think of anything better to do than going after him, for this very reason. He's willing to take some heat if it takes up their time from DOING stuff to us. Remember Jugears' statement, that the BILL OF RIGHTS is a "negative" statement of rights - that it is a list of what the government CAN'T DO TO YOU. He said he wanted to focus on what he COULD do to us. I'd prefer they did nothing to us, the way it's supposed to be. And frankly, the economy is never going to improve if they keep DOING things to it. What they need to do is stop messing with it and let it work!
So...while you're right, it's also best if they're occupied with unimportant shit, kind of like monkeys at typewriters.
I love how the mis-quote him. I'm sure that it was accidental. Riiiight. Anyway...he said that he hopes that Obama fails, if success means that he is able to pass legislation for national health care, and other socialist ideals on his agenda. He clarified that if by successful people mean pull us out of this financial mess, and defend our country and citizens, then he wants him to succeed. I'm not quoting here, but that is the gist of what he said. No one wants to see this country ruined. I'm also not surprised that the Dems want to try and censor Limbaugh. After all, it's only OK to bash Bush and other Republicans.
By Jove, I think she's got it! Kree! Kree!
What kind of feckless moron picks a fight with someone who can cue up a radio mike and publicly ridicule you to 14 million listeners?
Or is it more than that?
