Hell Care - The Truth about Canada and Dogs

Better to be a dog in Canada. I can only conclude, based on my knowledge of economics and reality, and this candid video (among common sense and countless other examples) that people on the comment sections of websites who go on and on about how awesome hell care REALLY is in the UK and Canada (because they don't *actually* have inordinate waiting times and it's all freeee!) are, to put it bluntly, full of shit.

But I knew that. It's just that you seldom can mount the economic defense because it would take...some foundation in common, things that they should already know? Besides they're just lying about it, so what's the point? At any rate, watch this video and weep at what we're headed for.

Also, in the beginning of this video, there is a clip of Obama promising in his campaign that he would get a universal health care bill signed by the end of his first term - now he's swearing to god and all the universe that it's NOT universal health care, that it was NEVER intended to be universal health care, that he never said any such thing, but that whatever it is, it has to pass NOW - before next month. Or we'll explode. Just like we were going to explode without the stimulus package. And it had to go through IMMEDIATELY or we'd all die. Now unemployment is skyrocketing and he's claiming it's working exactly as planned. Yes, I guess it is, you son of a bitch.

Your humorous moment of zen for the day. (Anyone know where this is or what's going on? It's hilarious!

Free health care is great, as long as you are reasonably healthy. As soon as you have some serious or long-term issues, however, you start to get into real trouble.
And, it's amazing just how expensive "free" health care really is.

A few years ago, I was about to go down to my basement when I collapsed, fell down the stairs, banged my head on the workbench, knocked out cold and woke up the next morning with various bruises and a headache like a jackhammer operating in my skull.
That was my first experience of Canadian emergency care. Drove to my hospital emergency where you are ALWAYS IMMEDIATELY seen by a triage nurse. Before even filling out any forms she called for a stretcher, had me hauled on there despite my insistence that I could walk and I was under an MRI within a minute of walking in. It turned out I had a subdural haematoma, I was hospitalized for a week, the food was rotten, but otherwise it was OK.

Last year I was sitting at my computer late on night when my left arm went lame. My first thought was stroke, rushed to the same emergency, it was also their first thought, same treatment, under the MRI before I could catch my breath.
I turned out to be nerve damage, they arranged an appointment with a neurologist, that took two days. He in turn referred my to another specialist, that one took three weeks. That is my own personal experience with the Canadian health care system. My total expense for the first visit was $56 for parking,
that taught me a lesson, the second time I took a cab. Now that I am retired, I no longer pay health insurance. I have to pay $100 per year plus $7 per prescription for drugs. I would be interested in hearing your experience with emergency care in your US hospitals.

Just read the end of your post, I believe it was at a reception in the Kremlin. He got the same treatment from quite a few after he kissed the Sowdi's arse.

Yup, Kremlin. Posted at mine too.

And speaking of the "free" healthcare, things like necessity come into play. Need a new hip? Will it be worth the cost if you're too old? Terminal disease? Go ahead and euthanize. Why try to treat it, you're already gonna die from it.

And ciccio, if yours was the norm I'd say hell yeah, let's do it. I've heard too many horror stories to imagine yours was the norm.

Anniee451 said...

The norm? It never happened. The waiting time in Ottowa right now for an MRI is over a year. They just don't have the machines. Plus who ever heard of them whisking you off for an MRI when you fall down stairs without even getting X-rays or a CAT scan? It's just another one of those polititrolls who each focus on one area and one area only online, and comb the internet to comment about it. We used to get them on the fat blogs a lot - always saying the same things - but isn't it funny that I happened to mention that very thing in the post? These people who comment on blogs and tell us those stories when we can pull out dozens upon dozens of news stories about what's really happening in Canada and England? In England right now there's a 16 month wait for orthopedic care. In Canada a man was in the ER 35 hours and died. There's the baby who could not get a NICU bed in the entire PROVINCE in Ontario was it? Shipped her right over the Border into Buffalo and lo and behold! There's a NICU all ready for her. Someone said that's because the US is more populous, but bullshit - ever been to Buffalo? It's in the middle of nowhere. Then they're complaining because the parents couldn't get passports because of some criminal issues and they couldn't come with the baby. The guy writing the article, instead of being grateful for what the US did to save this baby, instead complained because the parents couldn't come and then actually had the gall to say that Canada was still better because at least there they were guaranteed the necessary health care.

What. the. fuck? Seems to me the exact opposite is the case - the baby couldn't GET the health care there and the US isn't going to turn away a dying baby, so it seems that WE'RE the ones who guarantee health care to those who need it. That sonofabitch.

The fact is, we know what socialized health care really is and really does, and it's not only severely rationed, it stops progress dead in its tracks and people start getting assisted suicide instead of cancer treatment and pain pills instead of pacemakers. If they can get that due to all the crazy shortages. Government can not run anything; they can't produce health care; the very idea is ridiculous.

Even if Ciccio weren't full of shit, I wouldn't say go for it - even if that were typical. Because it's still wrong no matter how you slice it. Socialism is unconstitutional and evil, no matter how well it might seem, sometimes, to "work."

Nope, Ciccio, I call shenanigans, and I'm calling YOU a lying sack of dirt.

Didn't happen.

"No forms"?! they didn't even do an X-ray on you?! BULL...
didn't happen.

Border hospitals are not parked up with cars with Canadian plates because it's working. Resort towns in Florida and Lake Havasu are not full of Canadian retirees, because it's working.

Obama is already running on fumes, but he still means to pass Cap and Tax, and nationalize the health industry. He may even succeed, Congressmen don't even bother to read bills anymore, and they will compose the bills so that the electorate doesn't realize the scale of catastrophe until 2011 or later....

The Obamanistas do not plan for us to have another remotely honest election in 2010, 2012, or EVER.

And here we are sitting on several billion rounds of rifle ammunition......

We will vote again, and it will be LOUD.

Anniee451 said...

Yeah, Travis pretty much hit the nail on the fucking head. What a ruse.

Anniee451 said...

By the way, Travis, have you heard about the Blockbuster in the health care bill that was just passed by our illustrious congress? Remember Obi-wan Jugears promising you could keep your insurance? LIES. You can keep it IF you happen to already have it. If you don't, the bill makes private insurance ILLEGAL as of the signing of the bill into law. You can't switch companies, get married, have a child and expect to put them on your existing insurance - only the public "option." But remember, he's a busy guy - he's got to "worry" about North Korea and running the automobile industry - he doesn't WANT to "run" the health care industry too. Lies, all lies, like the lies about being whisked off to MRIs without benefit of even X-rays. What a crock of utter shite.

J. Travis said...

Yeah, I'm hearing the chatter about that.

If it's so wonderful, why do they have to force us into it, and why will congressmen be exempt?

cmblake6 said...

Anniee, I just posted over at the Rott about the promises I was made when I joined the military, and how the previous communist screwed that up for me. We talk about EARNING what we get, and so it actually means something. Any ideas about how many border hospitals have closed because of the illegal problems, for example?
Travis, why should the masters restrict themselves to the place of the slaves?
This commun/social/fascism is nothing but monarchy by another name.

Great article, Annie, and great comments, too. lol! I totally agree with Travis. It will be loud and we will be heard. They won't have a choice in the matter because they didn't give us one. Bastards, every single one of 'em.

Oh, and ciccio, you are so full of shit you bleed brown. I personally know people who have travelled or lived overseas for a while. None of them had anything good to say about the healthcare in the UK. In fact, the one couple needed a representative from the US to intervene to get the husband released from an Irish hospital so he could be flown back to the US for treatment after he suffered a heart attack while on vacation. The wife said, the ambulance that picked him up looked like it was from WWI. While he was in hospital in Ireland, she had to furnish his sheets and blankets because the hospital did not provide such amenities. Go fuck yourself, ciccio, and take your propaganda stories with you to feed your camels.

Anniee451 said...

HAHAHA! I have the best readers in the world.

Bleed brown :D :D :D

Yeah, we're supposed to believe no wait for an MRI (BEFORE an X-ray) when the wait in Canada for a scarce MRI machine is ONE YEAR. Uh-huh. VERY believable. These are the kinds of trolls I was talking about; they go all over the net telling us how wonderful socialized medicine is when we KNOW better. Just as The Emperor or his Sister the kind of medical abuse they suffered in the Soviet Union with "universal" health care. And it's abominable that Chairman Zero can get away with the lie that "you can keep your insurance" when we know that page 16 of the bill that no one has fully read yet says that NO new policies can legally be written after the bill becomes law - which means if you get married or change jobs, you are FUCKED. Pubic health option ONLY - but no, he doesn't want to "run healthcare" - he's a busy guy what with issuing all those harshly worded statements against North Korea...Oh, wait...

Anonymous said...

I actually heard a rumor that some of these trolls are getting paid to roam the net and spread this shit. Welcome to the Propaganda Nation.

Anniee451 said...

Oh I don't doubt it for a minute.

So a reporter actually asked Chairman Zero about page 16 of the bill that has to be passed YESTERDAY because he has an August deadline (who gives a shit about his deadline I'd like to know?) - the provision in the bill that makes it illegal to write any new private insurance policies after this one becomes law - leaving the "public option" as the ONLY option despite all his swearing up and down that this is not universal care and you can keep your coverage and it will be competitive, right?

You know what the motherfucker said? He said he doesn't KNOW all the provisions in the bill (not that anyone does since it's 1000 pages and more) so he's not sure. Um...so he's just LYING flat out about people being able to have private insurance if they want it - he's outlawing it and that's the end of that. But he just doesn't know it, Mr. Can't even fucking read to page 16 cocksucking asshole liar fuck.

This man is a bloody, megalomaniacal tyrant no better than any Hitler or Stalin or murderer that's ever existed. He's done having benefit of the doubt - done. He's not stupid, he's evil and he's destroying this nation on purpose.

Yep. Just look at the fact that he's on tv more than any other president has ever been. Still campaigning. For all the racists who voted for him (and yes, voting for someone because of their color, is just as racist as not voting for someone because of their color): Hope y'all like yer change.
