New York Slimes - GWB

This is a fascinating pictorial with some extremely obnoxious commentary. I'm sure this is a MSM version of being objective and fair, but clearly it isn't. Still, it's worth reading to note the bias, and it's well worth looking at to see the pictures and find out what they are. The thing that's made me angriest so far is the commentary on his reaction to the news of the 9/11 attacks. They keep saying "He doesn't understand." None of us did. No one understood. All we understood when we saw it was that we were going to kill and break things until the scourge was eradicated.

What pisses me off is the reaction to Katrina. It is not the government's job to get everybody out and pick up the pieces. Their job is to PROTECT OUR BORDERS. Those people were told to get the hell out and they chose not to. Don't give me any crap about they were too poor, blah, blah, blah. There was another town that was hit by a horrendous flood. There were no blasts at the government for not helping them. There were no Hollywood celebrities that went there and got photographed wading thru the dirty water. None helped feed the homeless. They picked themselves up and got back to the business of living and rebuilding. My opinion is that most of those that stayed behind during Katrina were there because they were going to loot the homes of the people who left. Call me crazy, but if I had lived there and was told to git, I'd a been gittin'. I've lived too many places where flooding happened and nowhere did I see such whining and bitching as N.O. Yes, the mayor was at big time fault, but who voted him in again and again? The MSM never told the stories about the capitalists with their private jet that flew into N.O loaded with fresh water filled bottles and flew out with a load of people. And there were other stories of the private sector helping out. And that's how it should be. But, the MSM will never tell those stories because it goes against their agenda of how the government should take care of everybody. No, the government has one job to do and they could do it well if the liberals weren't whining about being taken care of. The reason the liberals never get anything done, is because they always know there's a safety net there for them. So, why should they try with everything they've got to better their lives? It's easier to let someone else take care of them by taking money from me. My dad told me years ago that no one was going to help me if I got into trouble, so I'd better learn to take care of myself. And he was right. Because I did get into trouble, and there was no one there. Because I WAS THE WRONG COLOR! I had no choice but to pick myself up and get moving. So, I have little tolerance for the whining liberal leftists.

I've dealt with the Katrina thing here - it was a horrendous failure of local city and state government - there was an enormous parking lot full of buses underwater afterwards. They didn't use the federal money or budget locally for building up the levees, nor have a proper evacuation plan in place (or even sufficiently warn the people like they did in Galveston) despite being below sea level in a hurricane zone. There was no reason it had to be the disaster it was, any more than Ike was in Galveston. Property damage is horrible, but loss of life and limb need not be so enormous.

That Bush took the heat for it is absolutely ridiculous. That some people claim Bush made the hurricane appear in order to kill black people is not just ridiculous, but deranged.
