Mandatory Viewing

While I can't say I'm HAPPY with what this man is saying, I can say I'm thrilled to have him saying it to these chipper morning type media hosts, and I can say I'm thrilled to hear it coming from a "political atheist" who has no dog in the fight except for following trends and stating the obvious - the **real world** effects of things. As dire as the news is, I'm glad it's getting out there! We've only been saying it for 9 months; it's time to hear the rest of the world getting the picture and not these ludicrous proclamations from leftist bloggers and newspapers and anchorpeople who don't know their asses from a hole in the ground.

And this Town Hall thing - I'm simply dumbfounded. They took a recess so they could face their constituents and HEAR what the people REALLY thought of this plan. People are angry and they don't want it. Instead of listening to that message, they accused them of being astroturfed (not grassroots - sent there by insurance companies and the DNC); the speaker of the House called them Nazis, Lanny Davis recommended they all be photographed and investigated, and Prince Obama himself encouraged all people speaking out against health care centralization be reported to the White House site. For what we don't know, but it sounds like enemies lists. The left's response to this? To send out countertroops - TRUE astroturfed phony activists, to combat the "faux outrage" they believe they are seeing from rank and file Americans. Holy shit. We have become a banana republic already (fitting since the monkeys are all in charge now, I supposea) and I never thought I'd see the day. Yes, you bet we're gonna be seeing tent cities and ghost malls within a couple years. There's no doubt about it.

I think what makes me maddest about that is that people will still be saying, "Look what Bush did to us!" What makes me saddest about this is we fucking deserve it. I don't, you don't, but as a group, you bet we do. We failed to stop the coming evil and we are paying the price. We kept control of the houses of power and lost the houses of education to the enemy. We kept seats and they kept the media. And the people in those seats went soft - or maybe they always were. We gave it away. Yes it's been a long time coming but I've never seen anything like this and neither have you. The true demise of a Republic. How heartbreaking it is.

Take a look at one Town Hall meeting here; where Tea Party Protestors were stranded outside and half the hall was "reserved" for Union thugs who were fully briefed on keeping the conversation in favor of Obamacare. Did anyone ever tell them about how protesting and the first amendment works, or are they so wrapped up in their phony astroturfed THUG version of it, that it doesn't get through their tiny little brains anymore? Seriuosly, look at these pictures and video and tell me that doesn't chill your BLOOD. Where the hell ARE we? This isn't the United States of America - it can't. possibly. be.

Stupidity on Display

Travis sometimes asks me why I slum around at such weird places online. Well, I like to know what the left "thinks." But it never ceases to amaze me that it hasn't ceased to amaze me the stupidity of your typical radical leftist. Why would I ever be surprised? They are of course whining that Obama's not destroying the economy and the entire system of government in the US quickly enough or quite the WAY they would, and they're mad that he's not doing it their way. What the hell do they care, the results are the same either way - Cloward-Piven meets Alinsky is still moving full speed ahead so what the fuck are they bitching about? Well, here's one; and it's gotta take idiot quote of the week. In reaction to some obvious morons proclaiming that Obamacare will not necessarily destroy all private insurance companies - obviously a proclamation being falsely made to allay the fears of millions who have a shred of a brain and know what that would really mean (or at least have an inkling) McEwan declares,

First of all, any government health plan that isn't good enough to drive private insurers out of business...isn't good enough, period.

Holy shit. No, you didn't read that wrong. I don't think she comprehends that of course, it is designed to and WILL put private insurers out of business; and it's written into the bill to begin with (guess she hasn't read much of it, like page 16.) Or that these people are out there claiming it won't do what it was designed to do because they want to get it passed and the only way to do that is to lie about what it is designed to do. Because people have some small idea what it is supposed to do, what it WILL do, and they don't want that. So you have to just bald-faced lie to them and tell them it won't happen. But see, she's so out there, so fucking looney-tunes, that she wants them to DO all this - to destroy the economy and our way of life utterly - while PROCLAIMING LOUDLY that that is exactly what they're doing, and screw anyone who doesn't like it. Honey, it doesn't work that way. That's like surprise buttsex without lube - you're not going to get most people to accept it; you have to slip it in a little more subtly than that, or didn't anyone ever teach you that open revolution and open coups have very very unpredictable (and often catastrophic) results? Grow up, put on your damn big girl pants and be glad - he's DOING IT ANYWAY.

Fortunately for you, you're looking like you'll get your socialist society complete with hellcare. Unfortunately for you, it is not designed to provide excellent health care to anyone, much less everyone. You're just too goddamn stupid to understand what it's really about. For the people with half a brain or more, here's a little synopsis from the bill of what we're in store for. I LOVE the part about how the federal government will have realtime access to your personal bank account at ALL TIMES - that's just fucking lovely. Heck, I'll put up the link and a partial list:

• Page 124: No company can sue the government for price-fixing. No “judicial review” is permitted against the government monopoly. Put simply, private insurers will be crushed.

• Page 127: The AMA sold doctors out: the government will set wages.

• Page 145: An employer MUST auto-enroll employees into the government-run public plan. No alternatives.

• Page 126: Employers MUST pay healthcare bills for part-time employees AND their families.

• Page 149: Any employer with a payroll of $400K or more, who does not offer the public option, pays an 8% tax on payroll

• Page 150: Any employer with a payroll of $250K-400K or more, who does not offer the public option, pays a 2 to 6% tax on payroll

• Page 167: Any individual who doesnt’ have acceptable healthcare (according to the government) will be taxed 2.5% of income.

• Page 170: Any NON-RESIDENT alien is exempt from individual taxes (Americans will pay for them).

• Page 195: Officers and employees of Government Healthcare Bureaucracy will have access to ALL American financial and personal records.

• Page 203: “The tax imposed under this section shall not be treated as tax.” Yes, it really says that.• Page 239: Bill will reduce physician services for Medicaid. Seniors and the poor most affected.”

• Page 241: Doctors: no matter what speciality you have, you’ll all be paid the same (thanks, AMA!)

• Page 253: Government sets value of doctors’ time, their professional judgment, etc.

• Page 265: Government mandates and controls productivity for private healthcare industries.

• Page 268: Government regulates rental and purchase of power-driven wheelchairs.

• Page 272: Cancer patients: welcome to the wonderful world of rationing!

Of course, Ms. McEwan is also sick of hearing about the August recess because it's important to ram this thing through before anyone has a chance to properly read and debate this monstrosity - just DO IT already, right? Even though she said it's not good enough. Sheer genius, I tell you.

Henny Penny - with a Twist

A little red hen once found a grain of wheat whilst scratching industriously in the barnyard.

"Oh! A treasure!" she cried. "Who will help me plant this grain of wheat?" she asked.

"Not I," said the dog, happily scratching himself behind the ear.

"Not I," purred the cat, stretching luxuriously in the sun.

"Not I," grunted the pig, lazing in his mud hole.

"Not I," said the turkey. "What a silly idea! Why don't you just, like, eat it?"

"Then I shall do it myself," asked Henny Penny. "Cluck! cluck!" And she did.

Henny Penny planted the grain of wheat. Very soon the wheat began to grow and the green leaves came out of the ground. The sun shone and the rain fell and the wheat kept growing until it was tall, strong, and ripe.

"Who will help me reap this wheat?" asked Henny Penny.

"Not I," said the dog, and began to follow a butterfly across the barnyard to see where it would go.

"Not I," said the cat. "I would soil my fur! Working in the dirt!"

"Not I," said the pig. "Much too hot for such endeavors!"

"Not I," said the turkey. "It looks so pretty where it is. Why mess with it?"

"Then I shall do it myself," asked Henny Penny. "Cluck! cluck!" And she did.

Henny Penny reaped the wheat in the hot sun.

"Who will help me thresh this wheat" asked Henny Penny.

"Not I," said the dog, as he wandered off into the woods.

"Not I," said the cat. "The chaff would make my eyes itch!"

"Not I," said the pig. "I'm late for my nap."

"Not I," said the turkey. "What is threshing?"

"To thresh is to beat the stalks until the seeds come out," Henny Penny explained.

"What a waste of time, when you could just peck them out! As if!" said the turkey. "Not I!"

"Then I shall do it myself," asked Henny Penny. "Cluck! cluck!"

And Henny Penny threshed the wheat, all by herself.

"Who will help me take this wheat to the mill to have it ground?" asked Henny Penny.

"Not I," said the dog, distracted by his tail, which he began to chase.

"Not I," said the cat. "It is beneath my dignity to fetch and carry!"

"Not I," said the pig. "It's much too far to the mill."

"Not I," said the turkey, and stared up at the sky. No one knew why.

"Then I shall do it myself," asked Henny Penny. "Cluck! cluck! cluck!" And she did.

Henny Penny took the wheat to the mill, and by and by she came back with the flour.

"Who will help me bake this flour into bread?" asked Henny Penny.

"Not I," said the dog. "The Man is heading for the creek with his fishing pole.

See ya!" "Not I," said the cat. "The flour dust... no, no, no!" She wrinkled her nose and began to groom herself, just at the thought of it.

"Not I," said the pig. "It's almost lunch time."

"Not I," said the turkey. "Flowers should be left in the garden, not put in the oven! Duh!"

"Then I shall do it myself," asked Henny Penny. "Cluck! cluck!" And she did.

Henny Penny baked the flour and made a lovely, golden loaf of bread. The scent of the bread wafted out over the barnyard, and all of the animals began to drift toward her window.

"Who will help me eat this bread?" asked Henny Penny asked her chicks, who had gathered 'round.

"I will!" said the dog, standing on his legs to peek in through the kitchen window.

"I will!" said the cat, leaping upon the window sill.

"I will!" said the pig, standing beneath the window with his mouth watering.

"I will!" said the turkey, leaping onto the pig's back for a better look at the loaf.

"No... I will," said Henny Penny, "I and my chicks."

"By myself I planted the wheat. By myself I reaped it. By myself I threshed the wheat and carried it to the mill.

By myself I baked the bread. Now I, and mine, will eat it."

Cluck! cluck! cluck!"

"Capitalist pig!" cried the cat. ("No need to be insulting," grunted the pig.)

"Imperialist!" cried the dog.

"UNFAIR!" screamed the turkey.

"Speciesist supremacist!" shouted the pig.

Henny Penny stood dumbfounded when suddenly a huge wolf with a federal badge and a gun showed up in the barnyard and started telling her how it was going to be.

"Comrade Penny, I am confiscating 3/4 of this loaf in the name of the commonwealth and distributing it to your hungry neighbors - to wit the cat, the dog, the pig, and the turkey. The other 1/4 we'll need to support our redistributors - these guns and badges don't pay for themselves you know. Now if you resist we shall have to put you in the gulag and those guards have to eat too, you know. But I'm sure you're a good citizen and don't begrudge your neighbors the good life you are enjoying, so that surely won't be necessary. Naturally we will leave you a grain of wheat so that you can plant, reap, thresh, mill and bake it again in order to stimulate the local economy and create job growth. If you apply down at the county office there shouldn't be any problem getting an allotment of one grain for each of your chicks - that's all they really *need* after all, so don't worry about that - I'm surprised you hadn't looked into that benefit sooner! Now have a good day, comrade, and thanks for the bread."

Henny Penny sat there staring at the warm spot where the bread had been, looked at the satisfied cat, the smirking dog, the pig in his poke and the turkey, then down at her grain of wheat. She began to see herself and many other industrious hens each taking their grains of wheat and pouring them into the harbor at midnight...

Countdown to Doomsday

You were worried about the Kyoto Accord? Welcome to Copenhagen. We're walking right into it, and it's going to be a lot worse than the Kyoto. I'm predicting full-scale global depression (already started thanks to Kyoto) and no defense against the coming ice age. I've included the countdown clock in my sidebar for handy reference. Mark the days until our destruction is complete.

You see that little green car? I want to smash it like the bug it is. I wouldn't even have to put my boots on.

Withholding Information!

So, I have these co-workers. I try to avoid scenarios like that, but you know - sometimes you have to work with others. Tragic state of being.

This one guy just LOVED rubbing it in during the election - he hated Bush, and he's this blue collar type of guy, ergo Obama = Salvation!

Unfortunately, he didn't think it through very closely. He came to me yesterday and said, "I thought...I mean, we were supposed to get MORE money in our paychecks every week, isn't that what the president SAID?"

I was like no, no, I'm pretty sure that isn't what he said, but...?

Well, because, you see, here's my paycheck, and it says "New federal withholding tables in place" but I got hit really hard! I NEVER had that much taken out before! Wasn't the stimulus supposed to pay for that?"

Well...no, no it wasn't, but what is your complaint exactly?

I got a LOT more taxes taken out this week than last week or any other week...I thought we were supposed to get MORE money in our checks!

I see...were you supposed to get your mortgage paid for and gas in your tank too? Let me see.

Oh, wait. I see the problem - you WORK, right?

Yes.

You EARN money, right?

Yes.

Well, there you go, rich white man! YOU aren't getting any money, you are going to PAY for other people to sit on their asses and collect. YOU are the PAYOR, not the PAYEE. You getting it yet? YOU PAY FOR IT.

Wait, what?

NOW They're Sorry...

Odd fact: Rush Limbaugh can not put you in jail, send your son to war, levy a tax against you, or pass a law. True story.

Check out that video - apparently some people are just getting the hint NOW that Obama isn't really a centrist moderate. Wonder what their first clue was? Of course there are plenty of people who simply proclaim endlessly *even now* that he is nothing like a socialist, that he isn't even close to Marxist or socialist, and that he is, if anything, right of center. That anyone who denies this is an idiot. Mention Cloward-Piven and they just about lose their minds, but it's fun to watch. Give it a try sometime. If you can stand the company for even short periods.

No Debate - More Madness

How is it that this petty dictator, this tyrant, is RAMMING this shit through WITHOUT any procedure, WITHOUT any debate, WITHOUT meaningful opposition...yet the left is stomping and screaming about the mean tone of conservative talk show hosts (while using and employing more hate-filled words and rhetoric than any talk show host ever could) and stomping and screaming about "obstructionists" who can't possibly mount a meaningful opposition even if they wanted to? What kind of la-la land are those people living in? Look, I remember Reagan being accused of bankrupting future generations as well (by people who conveniently ignored the fact that he had a completely democrat congress and senate who demanded shit spending) and of course Bush was accused of the same thing (while Clinton was lauded for a false snapshot "surplus" that was never used to pay down any actual debt) so I'm not necessarily going to complain that we can't pay for it. Which we can't. Of course calling tax cuts an "expense" is a false complaint in the first place, and measures that ACTUALLY stimulate and grow the economy (unlike runaway spending on make-work projects and earmarks and caps collapses the economy) are at least helpful in many ways. But try explaining economics to a leftist. Heh. This runaway spending is a sure recipe for quick disaster - Obama actually knows this, it seems, which is why he keeps warning us that it's going to get a lot worse. This is nothing but a reformatting of our entire personal liberties and system of self-governance and it's just being railroaded through before anyone can blink. It's tyranny, it's despotism, it's riddled with outright lies, and there is no comparison here between anything a conservative president or legislature has done in the last 30 years or even 50. Bankrupt the people, break their backs quickly and surely, like a cat with a tasty mouse, destroy property rights and personal liberties, and you're left with nothing but a petty tyrant and dictator. I don't know which of his cronies are going to be thrown to the wolves - Pelosi? Reid? But Obi-wan is angling for absolute rule here, and it's coming. Quickly. Actually it's here; we just haven't felt the pain yet. I see the curtains being drawn very quickly on this experiment that has held up pretty well for 200 years, this experiment in self-governance and curbing voracious government. It's a dark and bloody vision, but if you can't see it, I have to think you're blind. We didn't know for sure he would do all this, but we know now. And some of you have the gall, the balls, to complain that we wanted it to fail. If you didn't, you're a fool.

Do not forget to go to Copious Dissent so that our friend in the video gets credit for his courage.

Red or Blue?

I love the Alice In Wonderland/Looking Glass imagery throughout the original Matrix. The other two movies suck wind, IMHO, but that one was pretty damn good.

Anyway, it is with a slightly surreal feeling that I quote one Lew Rockwell here, considering that, as I've stated many times before, he and I parted company more than 7 years ago. If the world were NOTHING but an economy I would have to agree with him; but he seems to forget the existence of insane people bent on destruction, and the need for defense. He even took up an ill-advised jaunt with the Huffington Post. But I really don't want to put a slew of disclaimers around everything I quote from the man (what am I, some PC slave?) because frankly, when it comes to economics there isn't much to argue here. And thus I present some indisputable info from that very source which ought to make its way to the ears of all possible hearers.

Obama's Wealth Destruction

President Obama is under the impression that history owes him $1 trillion right now to spend on whatever he wants. His language is strident and full of irritation that anyone would question his right to live out his personal dream of being Franklin Roosevelt to George Bush's Hoover. This, he says, is what the election was all about.

It just goes to show you that the presidency is something like a drug. It makes people lose all connection to reality. Part of the reality that Obama needs to recognize is that the New Deal was a calamity far worse than the initial market downturn that began it. He needs to stop basing his policies on dumbed-down civics texts versions of events and consider the economic logic.

I believe I just gave a brief rundown of that in my previous post, did I not? The initial downturn is NOT what causes a depression or a prolonged recession. Reagan proved that with that colossal market crash in '87. Oh, the newspapers were trying to scare the SHIT out of us! You know what happened? If you wanted to work, there were MORE jobs available pretty much the next freaking day. You had MORE choice, MORE power as an employee - you could make MORE money and CONTINUE your upward mobility more than ever before. Bad debts were gone; the immense destructive power, the shock and awe of the market only serves the market; and not in the "long run", either. Billions of individuals making billions of individual decisions converging into one ultimate force - the price - these are wondrous, constructive things.

With his rhetoric and policies, he has decided to demonize private enterprise, just as FDR did, as a way to present government as the great savior. Now, think about this. If there is a way out of the recession, it will have to be provided by private enterprise. It will come by new businesses, business expansions, entrepreneurship, new technology, and this will be the source of lasting jobs and prosperity.

Meh, don't blame him; he's echoing (just as Rush Limbaugh doesn't lead but merely echo the sentiment of millions of "Dittoheads") the sentiments of countless lackeys who think just. like. he. does. They've been trained to. The socialists have been in control of the publik de-edukation system and the colleges for a long time, sir. He's doing what we as a people (under the tyranny of the overpopulated, urbanite, latte-sipping city-dwellers have been demanding and demanding for a long time.

You cannot make a country rich by looting taxpayers and paying people to pound nails into siding at public schools! These activities amount to capital consumption. They are not sources of investment. You can say that they are stupid tasks or wonderful tasks, but it is not a matter of ideology as to whether such public projects will make us all wealthier. They will not. They drain the sources of wealth from society. They represent a cost, not a blessing.

I know that, and you know that, and frankly a good many of THEM know that...ask your pal Katie Couric what she thinks as she giggles with Pelosi over raping our civil rights with Porkulus Maximus and how hot Obi-wan is. They DON'T CARE. Those of us who CARE about that have been trying to ram a clue into the GOP while you've been screaming about the war and buddying up with leftists, for whom it will never, ever be enough.

I'm not so cynical about human affairs that I believe that errors must be endlessly repeated. Obama can put a stop to his madness. He needs to know — someone must tell him frankly and openly — that his current path is going to lead not to recovery, but to an extension of suffering, and untold amounts of it.

Well then maybe you're not cynical enough. Maybe you don't KNOW much about Saul Alinski and his disciples (such as Hillary, Wright, Ayers, Obama, et. al.) See, they know it and they WANT it. It gives them massive amounts of power, and THEY aren't the ones suffering under it, are they? Or maybe you haven't read Ayn Rand's discussion of slaves and masters. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of slavery, and HE intends to be the master. If he's the master, where's the harm? See, I'm cynical enough to believe that Obama doesn't WANT the country to flourish and prosper but rather to be piddling slaves begging scraps off his and the government's table. We know this from the Soviet Union. THIS is why sometimes WAR is necessary, Mr. Rockwell, even though it is an economic loss. Because there ARE evil people in the world who would make you a slave even if it hurts them in the short or long term.

Go and read the rest of it, if you feel like putting up with the (some of it deserved) Bush-bashing. Say what you want about Bush, he didn't seek to crush the US under his boot and make it his servant.

Economically, he's pretty much spot on. Tragically so.

Take a fucking pill Neo. Which one will it be? If I had the power to erase my own memory and eat a fake steak that tasted good, I just might take the pill that let me do that and remain in ignorance. Unfortunately madness is not a voluntary option. The only really voluntary option in such a case is suicide (not an option for me) and possibly booze (I can do that one, within reason.)

Poor market - making its adjustments. It doesn't know what's about to hit it. Good times WERE just around the corner (not the doom and gloom Obi-wan keeps promising - but hell, even he knows what he's bringing on us.)

Me and Julio Down By The Schoolyard UPDATE

Raaaaaaaaaacist! (Figured I'd beat 'em to it.)

Obama Claus has come to town! Free houses and broadcasting jobs for McDonald's workers and all comers! Just don't call yourself a plumber. Some people think the Hughes story is a bit fishy, kind of like the timing of the sudden crash, when 500 billion dollars was yanked in a period of a few hours.

It couldn't be that some things are...orchestrated? Like those fortuitous rocks Billy-boy found on the beach at Normandy so that he could arrange them tearfully into the shape of a cross for the cameras? Or that laughter at his friend's funeral that turned to sudden tears? Nah; things like that don't happen in the second, Most Ethical Administration EVAH! Poor Henrietta, though - wait 'til she gets sick and the new health Czar tells her it's not cost-effective to prolong her life - now give back that house, eh? The Messiah has need of it.

Oh and get this: Republican senators have vowed to filibuster the Fairness Doctrine, which is enjoying a lot of renewed support (and demand) by Dim congressleeches. So let me get this straight, you assholes have just passed a bill that brings the federal government down to rule over EVERY ASPECT Of our personal lives - down to the MOST personal decisions and events - and have instituted an entirely totalitarian society that we are now going to have to pay for out of OUR pockets for countless generations...and we're supposed to be glad that at least we get to listen to the apocalypse on the fucking radio? Are you SERIOUS?

Where were you when we needed you, asstards? Where were you to stop the rape and abortion of our civil rights, privacy, autonomy and Constitution? Screw the fairness doctrine - frankly if I'm going to starve to death under a communist dictatorship, I'd rather NOT hear about it every day. Just give me some bread and a fucking circus to watch while my children go out and dig my grave for me, eh? This senate needs to be executed.

UPDATE on the Henrietta and Julio stories - looks like a lot was fishy about these stories, just like all the money being pulled out precipitating the crash. And that woman didn't really swim the Atlantic either. Harumph. Seems like the wool's being pulled over the sheeple's eyes a LOT lately.

February 10, 2009

Excuse Me? I Was Told There Would Be Obstructionists?

So where the hell were they on this one? Why didn't somebody block this fucking thing? They've hidden all this shit in there that is drastically unconstitutional and shreds our individual liberty, autonomy, and privacy to pulp. Instead of, as would be customary for something that has NOTHING to do with economic stimulus, having, say, a proposal, a bill, a DISCUSSION and then a VOTE - they just snuck this abortion into a bill where it doesn't belong, and torched our autonomy in the process.

And let me just say now, TO EVERY ASSHOLE BLOGGER/JOURNALIST (YES, AMANDA MARCOTTE AND JESSE TAYLOR AND EZRA KLEIN AND KEVIN HENDRICKS MELISSA MCEWAN AND ALL THE REST OF YOU) WHO KEPT SAYING TIME AFTER TIME THAT OBAMA'S HEALTH CARE PLAN WAS GOING TO BE FINE BECAUSE IF YOU HAD INSURANCE YOU LIKED YOU COULD JUST KEEP IT THE WAY IT WAS - WELL FUCK ALL OF YOU, YOU GO TO HELL AND YOU DIE, AND YOU WERE COMPLETELY, POSITIVELY FUCKING WRONG. I TOLD YOU ASSHOLES THAT AT THE TIME!

That's better. Because the reality now is that there is NO opting out of this, and doctors who fail to report your EVERY visit, EVERY prescription, EVERY concern, test, or issue, EVERY cold, EVERY wart, EVERY Xanax TO THE FEDS - yes, TO THE FEDS to keep in a database - will be PENALIZED at the sole discretion of the HHS Czar. The National Coordinator of Health Information Technology, will **monitor treatments to make sure your doctor is doing what the federal government deems appropriate and cost effective**. If you're costing them too much, they are going to tell you to fuck off - EVEN IF IT'S UNDER YOUR OWN INSURANCE, EVEN IF YOU ARE PAYING FOR IT YOURSELF OUT OF POCKET. There is no "opt-out" in this Trojan Horse. But before the euthanasia starts, the elderly are going to be hit. Hard. The author of this Obamination has stated that old people are going to have to start just dealing with the diseases and problems that come with old age instead of treating them, and we're going to have to stop demanding so much from health care.

The children will be hit, and those who are most in need of health care are going to get creamed, and the fat people are going to be obliterated, and smokers will probably just explode.

Now we can ALL die of poor health care - you remember how we told you that SOCIALISM isn't a rising tide that lifts all boats, but rather SINKS them to the lowest common denominator? We will all now be equal partners in misery and ill health - now whether you can afford it or not, you can not get adequate health care. Instead of figuring out a way to help people who are down on their luck get treated more easily, you've just condemned us ALL to the shitheap.

Thanks a lot, socialist fucktards. Did you really think you weren't going to see armed revolution in your lifetime if you managed to FORCE all the rest of us to live by your evil socialist plans? Forget it. You all bought this one, and it's NOT going to be pretty. I'm willing to die for my liberty - are you willing to die to take it from me?

A Novel Idea

Ok, so it's not new at all. It's just sound economics.

Massive spending of nonexistent money to *improve* the economy ought to, on its very surface, sound like madness. Unfortunately, some people think it is the meaning of "stimulus."

If my mortgage is late, and my car needs major repairs, and my phone, power and gas are on the verge of shutoff, and my taxes come due (because I must be punished for being one of those "rich" working class people who actually earns my daily bread), would it sound like a good idea to take out a home equity line of credit and spend it painting my walls and putting in new floors? Would that "stimulate" our household economy? Or would we be the biggest fools in the world?

So what makes you think that would work for an entire country, exactly?

The ONLY proven means of causing an economy to rebound is to get the hell out of the way, STOP the government intervening and spending what it doesn't earn or have, and let the market adjust. A free market is a self-adjusting system. Granted, you might have to go get a J-O-B if you find yourself in trouble, but there are worse fates in life, honest.

In fact, when people tell agitators who are out pounding the pavement demanding a bigger piece of my hard-earned money to pay for their health care and housing and food to "Get a Life" that is generally what they mean. They don't mean stop caring - they mean start caring about the right things. They mean that most of us don't have the luxury of spending all our waking hours whining on blogs or making petitions for socialized health care and demanding a piece of the pie that OTHER people are working hard to bake - we have jobs to do in order to make sure that our own needs are met and hopefully something left over for our children and even our friends who are in worse shape. If more people would spend their time in productive pursuits and realized that government is actually an impediment to things working properly and helping the most people in the greatest fashion, would in fact, get out and start making their own pies, a lot less senseless political squabbling would take place, and the economy would improve, as it is wont to do when left alone to the people that make it work. The working people ARE the activists - as in, they are active AND productive. It was action by THOSE people (not by activists demanding that *government* act FOR them) that put a man on the moon, manifested the Westward expansion, and won the World Wars.

I realize this crazy idea of a self-adjusting free market sounds crazy, but it works - really it does! There are plenty of economists who understand this, not that they are often featured on the Obamedia, but they're right. It's time to get out of fairyland, it's time to stop trying to cut open the goose that laid the golden egg (so you end up with a handful of guts and no gold) and time to get back to common sense free market principles that work. Yes we can!

"I Chose My Friends Carefully"

"To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist Professors and structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets."

There is probably some context in which this statement can be taken another way. I can't imagine what, but it's theoretically possible. There is another thing I wasn't very aware of; I tend to, as I've said before, immerse myself in deliberately far-leftist blogs and sites to see what they're on about, so it seems I may have lost sight of how desperately far left the mainstream media has gone itself.

This one on the redistribution audio is a particularly eggregious example.

"On closer inspection, the "bombshell audio" turns out to be a rather wonkish, somewhat impenetrable, discussion of the Supreme Court under Earl Warren. Obama, then a University of Chicago law professor and Illinois state senator, argued that the courts have traditionally been reluctant to get involved in income distribution questions. He suggested that the civil rights movement had made a mistake in expecting too much from the courts -- and that such issues were better decided by the legislative branch of government."

Didn't pay much attention, did you? If you had, you wouldn't have confused the legislative branch with the administrative branch. Ass. If he thought it was a legislative issue he would have been happier as a senator than running for the branch that he thinks can and should be engaging in the redistribution.

"In other words, Obama says pretty much the opposite of what the McCain camp says he said."

Actually, they were spot on. See, I actually listened to and read it, and unlike you who think it was wonkish and who couldn't "penetrate" (i.e. understand) it, I understood what he said. It wasn't that hard - he was being more honest at the time. Remember, he chose his friends well - the Marxist professors and the radical associations, the Alinski-style politics - and some of us know what Alinski taught. Obama learned it well. If you understood it, you are lying about it now, but perhaps you didn't. Also, can we dismiss this nonsense that McCain dug up this audio and publicized it? It was all over the net before McCain or his "camp" said a thing about it - we all heard it for ourselves and heard it loud and clear. No one needed McCain to interpret it for us, you get it? WE CAN HEAR IT FOR OURSELVES. A private citizen dug that up - something you, the press should have been doing all along, but didn't - and it made its way to McCain. He'd be an utter fool not to say anything about it; and believe me, he's being a lot nicer about it than he should be, or than any of us are. So can we get real here?

I am not even going into Khalidi at present - the L.A. Times reported that they have the tape, and they refuse to release it. Obama then gets away with outright denials of any relationship with the guy, despite describing a very close relationship openly in the past. I realize the media has been left-leaning for a long time - since at least the late 60s early 70s and likely before that - but decided that if talk radio and the internet were going to exist, they might as well dive in headfirst and not just bathe in the muck but generate more of it. It's not only jolting, it's disheartening. I have often seen the far left profess to "love" this country, but that love to me seems to be of the same type the little boy had for The Giving Tree. MANDATORY READING on this topic - and naturally I've been beaten to it, it's already been done, and it's already been done BETTER than I could. Thanks, Andy lol. Unbelievably smug quote today: "We might just turn to you, and in a voice that sounds just like a “real” American voice, destroy your fragile faith by saying, “Have you ever considered that if god is all powerful and all good, then there shouldn’t be evil in the world?" My non-God, NO - no no no, for all that is holy, NO - we have NEVER thought of that, because as you smart people know, we don't THINK at all - and now that you have mentioned it, my faith is destroyed.
