What's This?

Well, Mr. Trudeau, I would have thought you'd gotten that Palin-bile out of your system by now - you know, after you viciously slimed her entire family and her to the satisfaction of even the most ardent Palin-haters. What's this with devoting a full WEEK to sliming her some more even though she's safely ensconced back in Alaska at her regular job, running, you know, the state, and having lost the election weeks before? And with your guy off and running in the new and esteemed "Office of the President-Elect"? Could you be just a little bit, oh, I just wonder, SCARED? I've heard it said this fear was there but I haven't been keeping up on the lefties so much now, and I wasn't sure it was true. Until I saw that week's worth of comics. For most people, a loss of the election is pretty much the end of story, and with all that hopeychangeyness coming your way, wouldn't you be all, like, celebrating and shit?

As to 40 years of being woefully ignorant of how the world works...well I guess you oughta know. Palin's been busy accomplishing things in that time; not just spouting fascist stupidity for the amusement of leftist onlookers. I think what you're really afraid of is that despite her folksy demeanor and way of talking, it came to light that she's really a hell of a lot smarter than anyone thought a "Christopathic* Godbag Reactionary Mere Mother" could ever be. And if I were you, I'd feel the same way. It surprised me, to be honest, though I don't know why, when I ought to know better (since I'm one of those Christopathic Godbag Reactionary Mere Mothers" myself and I've been smart all my life, and took time to educate myself as well.) Well, good luck with that; I really don't envy you all the hangover you're going to have when your utopian Stalinist dreams come to ruin.

*I just saw the term Christopathic used somewhere to refer to Bush - add it to the list! One more name I can invent for the fascist Obamaniacs!

NewsBusted

If only there were SOME WAY for Obama to win over the media...

Heh.

Did you know that the election of Barack Obama is the most historic moment in American history?

You didn't?

Well, Teri Hatcher says so. I think she needs a serious history course.

To Trolly Laura

I'm posting this especially for Laura, who thought I showed incredibly poor taste with my African-American Widow post - hey, I was being PC dammit - all I do for you people and no respect! Hmph. And I thought the dress was cooler than ever once I realized it was totally a spider dress. But anyway, I just found out that Ann Coulter has been injured and had her jaw wired shut. Heh - now honestly, I like Ann Coulter and she makes me laugh like few people do, but even I can appreciate the irony. I'm betting she can too. Naturally I wish her a speedy recovery with little pain. And I'm hoping that tomorrow's column will be extra funny, maybe some Percocet will loosen her up more than usual. But I want to take this opportunity to thank the left for staying so classy, and for celebrating Coulter's injury with such glee and joie de vivre. The same glee with which they celebrated when Rush Limbaugh went deaf. The same glee with which they greeted the news that his deafness might have been caused by his drug addiction. The same glee I felt when the blue stained dress came out (though you'll notice that isn't quite the same thing is it?) Hmm, is there anything comparable? Here's one - I feel nothing when an abortion doctor gets killed. I don't feel happy or sad. So make of that what you will; at any rate I don't take a political position on abortion except to return it to the states and that's tepid. So there's my confession. The point is, you're doing your Schadenfreude dance yet again over the suffering of a conservative, and that makes me happy. Because your turn will come and I get to enjoy it as well.

The LA Times rejoices! (And were hoping that someone had assaulted her so that they could, get this, throw roses to him. Oh, that classy, objective, LA Times - Release the Khalidi tape you shitheads!)

Olbermann, classy "journalist" that he is, rejoices and makes a semi-funny joke.

It's the best news Jezebel's heard all day!

And the list goes on and on and on, and the nekkid happy dance goes on everywhere in the lefty's world.

Bottom line, Laura, don't you wish you had picked ANOTHER day and A DIFFERENT subject to fuck with me on? You look like a real asshole now. LOL

Obstruction

In what is being hailed as a brilliant political move, Obama prepares for Republican opposition. They seem to intend to - this is very hard to say - but to refer to opposition as "obstructionist." I know, I know! I know it's serious, I know it's horrifying, a prospect to make a brave man (a man's man, yet) weep, but it's one we're just going to have to take on the chin.

8 years of being called Nazi Murderer Christofascist Godbag Woman-Killing Fucktards and the word obstruction is supposed to cut like a knife I guess. Yes, I will be opposing Obama at every turn, as will many people. Every turn. Even if I think he's right (but he won't be.) I will hamstring his presidency in every possible way. Call that whatever you like, including christofascist godbagism, because I'm way beyond caring about all THAT. You brought it, and you're gonna own it. It should be a lot of fun. :)

While I'm here I might as well mention that the term "mandate" has always been dumb. I don't care if 3/4 of the people in this country think they want a communist system or a removal of checks and balances or to restructure the entire government on a basis which is not constitutional; that doesn't mean the president and his cabinet and the justices and the legislators have any right to do so. What they are MANDATED to do is to uphold the constitution and the sovereign rights of the individual. That is their mandate. Now I can certainly understand that when a radical deconstructionist gains power (over both houses, the executive branch and in time the judicial branch) that he will of course want to enact the radical deconstructionist agenda his guru Saul Alinski et. al. taught him or her to do. I don't blame them for wanting to try. I wouldn't blame Jerry Falwell, had he ever accomplished having both houses, the judiciary, and the executive office for trying to enact a hard right social agenda. I mean, they were elected on a platform of promises (though Obi-wan was kind of sly and didn't tell much of the truth about those, did he? But we all knew what he was about with that little smirk.) That doesn't mean these people won't be opposed in what they do - they will and must be opposed. As I say, their mandate is to uphold the constitution, not to kirigami the hell out of it. And our job, the job of the vigilant, is to oppose and hamstring and obstruct their efforts to do so. In that we shall continue our efforts. This is the way we STOP the government from ruining the entire country - by stopping it from doing so much. And by trying to roll it the hell back from the things it's already taken over with its reverse-Midas touch and turned to shit - education, charity, etc. You have your mandates and we have ours - if we lose this country and its constitutional form of government we lose it at the point of a sword, so I'll repeat again that 'obstructionist' is a compliment; you've been calling us all FAR worse for a long time now, and we aren't afraid of you or your names. :)

Update: Humorous Image

Growing the economy from the bottom up.

Machosauce

Secretary of the Interior? Chief of Staff at the RNC? I like the part about his grandmother; it really hit home to me. Not to say I agree with every word out of his mouth (and there are many!) but it's good to know not everyone is insane or completely brainwashed.

Somebody Needs a Nice Rest

Preferably in a nice padded room. Amanda, you're starting to worry us.

The phrase was deliberately sexual, and not just that, but in the family of smutty phrases that invokes violence, perhaps even coercion. If you give the wingnutteria a chance to romanticize a cheap, violent masculinity, they’re all over it. “Drill, baby, drill” was about way more than oil. It was about telling the rest of the country, “We’re going to make you our bitches.” In fact, the image was not just about conquering the not-real American majority, but about violating our very spacious skies and purple mountains majesty. The resentment runs that deep.

We do? The world must be a pretty frightening place for you - you're channeling Andrea Dworkin now, girl.

Men use the night to erase us...The annihilation of a woman's personality, individuality, will, character, is prerequisite to male sexuality, and so the night is the sacred time of male sexual celebration, because it is dark and in the dark it is easier not to see: not to see who she is. Male sexuality, drunk on its intrinsic contempt for all life, but especially for women's lives, can run wild, hunt down random victims, use the dark for cover, find in the dark solace, sanctuary, cover."

To which Fred Reed, in his classic and hilarious piece, responds:

I do?

How does a man respond to such a broadside? The prose could use some lubrication, of course, and maybe a new set of plug wires, but I'm talking about the content. My first impulse is to reassure the poor woman: "There, there, Andrea, you're safe, nights just don't get dark enough." My second impulse is to wonder just how much radical feminists know about male sexuality, and what book they read it in.

I like to picture myself on a Saturday-night date in high school, parking on a back road.

My date: "You're driving kind of funny. I reckon it was the beer."

Me: "Why, no, Sally. I'm drunk on my intrinsic contempt for all life."

Sally: "You're so silly. Come here."

Me: "Soon...soon. Do you mind staying here by yourself for a bit?"

Sally: "Huh?"

Me: "I need to, uh, you know, run wild for a few minutes. Hunt down a few random victims. Use the dark for cover. Guy stuff."

Sally: "You nuts or something?"

Me: "It's...night, Sally...the sacred time of male sexual celebration."

Sally: "You're gonna do it out there?"

There there, Amanda. We don't want to rape your amber fields of grain or make you our bitch. Nor do we wish to turn down utopian, socialized health care because it would work, and because we're so drunk on our intrinsic contempt for life (it's only valuable if we can deny it to others, as you point out) that we don't WANT to save sick children and grannies. Actually, I find it a little odd that as an example of socialized medicine "working" you point to the fact that people in the UK kept voting for it - but then you seem to be needing your dosage checked, so I will just keep dealing with why the evil conservatives don't want it. It's not because, as you claim, we feel like making people lie down in gutters and kicking them repeatedly until they die under our boots. If a socialist economy worked and made life better for people (and could be done without crimes against liberty), if a socialist health care system had a shot in hell of being consistent with liberty AND working, or any other socialist collectivist plan you want to force on the rest of us (those hateful producers you would rather die than admit dependence on for implementing these utopian dreams) then I assure you they would find a lot more support. Anyone who actually knows something about that niggling little thing you refuse to learn about, ECONOMICS, knows how and why your pipe dreams will never be other. And it is not out of hatred for you and yours (if it was, I'd let you all die in your socialist wasteland and move somewhere very very far away right now instead of fighting for a return to the Constitution and LIBERTY in this nation), it is out of a deep love for my country, for the truth, for the Constitution, for our founders, and for my posterity. This is why I oppose you and will continue to do so. Your melodramatic accusations are as over-the-top as Dworkin's were, and it's sounding like medication time.

Also, to whoever says "From each according to his abilities," I have discovered the perfect answer. Make me, bitch. I like many others intend to suck all the marrow out of this coming new socialist overlord plan and live the good and easy life for once. No reason I should work my ass off year after year just to barely make my mortgage when I can have all the same stuff for free, as a right. Gimme!

African-American Widow?

This is a shameless steal because it was so damn funny. There was *something* about the marking on that dress, but naturally I couldn't pick it out, despite seeing black widow spiders fairly often.

Harvey at IMAO says:

Now, besides the obvious fact that Barack has now been warned, and he should probably keep a pair of Nikes by the bed for rapid post-coital departures, there’s something that really bugs me about this picture:

The knees. What the hell's up with the knees? How can your knees be a foot apart when your feet are almost together? I...what? Just to check that it was as strange as I thought, I started looking up pictures. You know, in case it was me. It isn't me.

Giving Thanks for the Free Market

It's been exciting seeing how much press the real story of Thanksgiving has been getting this year - even in the L.A. Times children's section, the story is being told. Rush Limbaugh tells it every year. Sandy is telling it at JFS. It's also found here.

Long story short - the Pilgrims farmed communally in Plymouth, and the results of their labors were put into a communal store from which everyone was free to take what he wanted. Predictably, there was very little produced, so little that the people were starving and freezing and dying to death. They were selling the few possessions they had to the Indians just to survive. That's what communism does. They thought Plato had it right.

Then the governor said "We're dying - time to try something new." So each family was allotted a plot, and anything they produced on that plot was theirs to eat or sell. All of a sudden people who couldn't work before found the strength to do so. They produced such abundance that there was plenty for the coming winter, plenty to sow the following spring, and plenty to have a ginormous feast and invite the local Indians to partake of it with them, as they gave thanks to God for the free market, which had made this all possible.

This is how it always works - I will never understand why so many people are eager to implement socialism when all it spells is death, hunger, and destruction of the very people they claim need help - to hear someone like McEwan saying how Obama ought to just implement a "proper socialist system" - you have only a couple options there. They're either lazy, stupid, ignorant, or evil - or some combination of those. There are precious few other possibilities, because it's well known, there really is no excuse for ignorance of what communism does, and there is really very little excuse for ignorance of what the free market does. (I don't mean phony companies insulated from the actual MARKET because they're backed by the government; those don't even count ) and while I realize some people might have gotten confused because Alan Greenspan seems to have turned his back on the truth and reality of economics (and that Keynesian shithead ended up winning the Nobel for his cycle theory LOL ) I can give people a LITTLE leeway for ignorance on what free markets actually do. A little. But they get no pass for pretending communism isn't what it is - like I say, that leaves such people either lazy, stupid, ignorant, evil or some combination thereof. Of course I tend towards "evil" but I'm a cynic.

But this year, don't forget to thank the existence of free trade for the abundance on your table. Unless you're a congressman/senator, and then you ought to thank those of us who worked hard all year so you didn't have to and could just take it from us.

TURKEYS!

Yep. Just like Sarah Palin, I celebrate Thanksgiving with a HUMANELY sluaghtered turkey from a local farm. It's the only really fresh meat we get all year. Such fresh meat tastes better, produces the best gravy, and leads to succulent breasts. Bush has been busily pardoning some turkey who will thenceforth lead a brief and painful life as a bird who was raised FOR EATING and will stagger around and die of an early heart attack. Painfully. I choose to eat a bird who was raised for eating; slaughtered locally for the purpose of deliciousness, and will provide us with a gravy to die for. Vegans - eat your bullshit; not one of you will have the feast we do this week. It'll be absolutely BRILLIANT!

Chinese Andy Rooney

First let me note that I apologize that you have to keep scrolling down so far to turn off the old PSA video, which simply starts when you come to this page. But once you get back up here, this one is worth it. I will try to fix it, but if anyone has suggestions, please do let me know!
China’s Andy Rooney Has Some Funny Opinions About How Great The Chinese Government Is

Penny Pritzker: The List Grows!

This is actually going to be more interesting than I thought it might. Hopefully you've divested yourself of any positive cash flow and business interests you might have had and gone John Galt on the country, because it's going to be fiscally disastrous, but it's going to be SO interesting! I mean the cast of characters couldn't be more bizarre if these were the Clinton years again. It's like the Clinton years cubed.

We had Wright Jr. and Pfleger and Ayers - Wright and Ayers are on the talk show/media circuit as we speak - that started up just days after the election of the man who allegedly knows nothing about them and they're just, you know, guys from the neighborhood lol. Then we started hearing about the cabinet picks and it keeps getting weirder. Rahm Emanuel as chief of staff - the guy who not only sends dead fish to pollsters he doesn't like, but who sat there at the Clinton's table as the enemies list was read, stabbing with his knife and intoning "Dead! Dead! Dead!" You couldn't ask for a more colorful character. Except maybe Wright and his god damn chickenssssssssssss! Tom Daschle HHS?? Really?? Anyone who's been paying attention for the last 16 or 20 years doesn't need a rundown on him. Or on Hillary for that matter. And you'll be finding out all about Eric Holder, don't worry. He's a veritable pinata. (Mark Rich pardon anyone?)

Then he tried to pick Penny Pritzker, his chief fundraiser, for secretary of commerce. Sadly, she is apparently turning it down. That would have been fun too - the pioneers of the subprime mortgage, the people who hosted a red-carpet affair for Ahmedinejihad at her NYC Grand Hyatt hotel? Yeah, I'm sorry she's not going to be in the show, because it's going to be really, really fascinating.

By the way, to the morons on BOTH sides of the aisle who keep saying "See? The nation has taken a turn toward the left (or center, if you're stupid enough to believe it was conservative/libertarian to begin with) so get with the program! Join us or be irrelevant!" How stupid are you people? It doesn't always happen in 4 years (seldom does a president fuck up as badly as a Jimmy Carter and seldom that they get shot like Kennedy) but by the end of 8 years, the other party gets it. Unless you've been an amazingly smashing success, but that's pretty rare - and Obama's no Reagan LOL. Let me clue you in on something - by the end of 8 years, the GENERAL idiots in the population don't give a shit whether the guy in there is left, right, or freaking triangular - they have short attention spans and they figure it's time for something different. This is not all bad, to be honest, because there is only so much that can be changed fundamentally in that amount of time - term limits were the kindest legacy we have and it's just a shame they don't apply to the houses. Obama's election doesn't indicate some general shift to the left any more than Bush indicated a shift to the right or Clinton indicated a shift to the rapists and sexual predators - people want something new and different and they're going to have it; your average asshole on the street doesn't like "The Man" and in 4 - 8 years, Obama and the Dim party are going to be "The Man", do you get it? Yes us political junkies and the intelligentsia like to inform ourselves and debate and fight and shake things up and in the case of conservatives/libertarians STOP the gradual but ever-increasing leftward trend we've been in for 80 years while you try to fast-forward it into outright communism - but we aren't your average voters. We aren't even all voters. Your average guy gets sick of The Man and blames him for the trouble, and it goes back the other way. So let's get real and stop reading too much into things, shall we?

Hosanna

I didn't do it on purpose, but the tune of Hosanna from Jesus Christ Superstar popped into my head today as I pictured the worshiping crowds, and I was hearing "Ho-bama, Hey-bama, bama-bama-ho, bama-ho-bama hey-bama! Hey OB, OB would you die for me?" Then I watched the video and it's even funnier, because I can see the worshipers seeing Caiaphas up there as the dirty, downright mean conservative up there trying to spoil their fun, and the whole thing cracked me up. So enjoy it as much as I did; I'll put the new lyrics below.

CROWD

Ho-bama Hey-bama bama-bama Ho-bama Hey-bama Ho-bama! Hey OB OB won't you smile at me? Bama Ho-bama Hey Superstar

CAIAPHAS

Tell the rabble to be quiet, we anticipate a riot. This common crowd, is much too loud. Tell the mob who sing your song that they are fools and they are wrong. They are a curse. They should disperse.

CROWD

Ho-bama Hey Bama Bama Bama Ho-Bama Hey-Bama Ho-bama Hey OB, OB you're alright by me Bama Ho-bama Hey Superstar

MESSIAH, The One

Why waste your breath moaning at the crowd? Nothing can be done to stop the shouting. If every tongue were stilled The noise would still continue. The rocks and stone themselves would start to sing:

CROWD AND MESSIAH, The One

Ho-bama Hey-Bama, Bama Bama-Ho-Bama Hey-Bama Ho-bama!

CROWD (alone)

Hey OB, OB won't you fight for me? Bama Ho-bama Hey Superstar

MESSIAH, The One

Sing me your songs, But not for me alone. Sing out for yourselves, For you are bless-ed. There is not one of you Who can not win the kingdom. The slow, the suffering, The quick, the dead.

CROWD and MESSIAH, The One

Ho-bama Hey-Bama, Bama Bama Ho-bama Hey-Bama, Ho-bama

CROWD (alone)

Hey OB, OB won't you die for me? Bama Ho-bama Hey Superstar

100

100 Hula Hoops, 100 posts - it's all good.

Now while it's very satisfying and cathartic and all to rip on the left (and hey, they have it coming) there has to be time for other fun activities.

So here's a brainteaser: A man in a restaurant asked a waiter for a juice glass, a dinner plate, water, a match, and a lemon wedge. The man poured enough water onto the plate to cover it. "If you can get the water on the plate into this glass without touching or moving this plate, I will give you $100," the man said. "You can use the match and lemon to do this." A few minutes later, the waiter walked away with $100 in his pocket. How did the waiter get the water into the glass?

Moving Forward

A heart for Harold Meyerson hehe. Now I'm not trying to go back on my vow here - the end goal of my writing is to expound upon the need to oust the undesirable appeasing element OUT of the conservative/libertarian movements and get back to a party or parties founded on the actual constitution, personal liberty, free-markets (redundant with both of the former terms) and stop countermanding the constitution, personal liberty, freemarkets and so forth by continually seeking the approval of the media, the left (again redundant) and the brainwashed masses. But in that vein it is sometimes necessary to remind ourselves just what we're up against. We are up against a left that is used to being catered to because of their bullying tactics and the full collusion of the media and educational systems. This Meyerson piece is merely an example of what that produces, with some common sense counterarguments and a staunch refusal of their smug, condescending tone which seeks to gain control of BOTH the left and the right and dictate a socialist state which is wholly incompatible with the precepts of the Declaration, the Constitution, and personal liberty. What we will not stand for in other words. But never forget how very ENTITLED they feel not only to DICTATE to you what you must do with your movement, but to dictate the principles on which you live your very life as well as treat you like the dogshit they truly believe you are, sneering at you for obeying their commands. Stop talking to them. Stop the "dialogue." Stop catering to them. Stop simpering. Stop apologizing. Stop COLLUDING with the left. This piece will demonstrate why.

He starts off bitching about Fox News. I don't give much of a crap about Fox News, though while they have gotten some material things wrong, they have at least made a token effort at not being completely in the tank with the hard left communist fascists.

The election has left the Republican Party reeling, its base shrunk to those Southern, Plains and Mountain West states where rural cultures still predominate.

Don't fail to hear the superior SNEER in the word "rural" there. I've posted the map several times already, so refer to it as needed. Also refer to the rule of 8 - unless you're wildly successful (which requires firm dedication to the precepts of the constitution and personal liberty) you get 8 years and that's pretty much it. McCain was dead in the water and only the presence of Palin saved him from a much more dire fate in the election. Rightly so - as has been stated, he's like one of those insects that only lives long enough to reproduce so the species can survive. So thank you for ONE thing, McCain. Well, ok, two.

The party's smarter strategists are arguing that the worldviews of the social conservatives and free-market extremists who dominate the GOP are either irrelevant or ridiculous to voters in the middle of the political spectrum.

Free-market "extremists" (sneer sneer.) Bullshit. You either have a free market or you don't. It has been and is the only hope for ending poverty and hunger worldwide, it is the engine through which ALL who are willing can prosper or at least have their needs met, and your thieving schemes do not impress me and are inconsistent with liberty. Just because YOU believe that is irrelevant does not make it so, and we are through listening to you preach that it is - you have awoken the sleeping giant, and you're going to be reminded painfully of that fact for a long time.

"We can't be obsessed with issues that are not the issues that are important to American voters," Jim Greer, chairman of the Florida GOP, told the New York Times.
"Obsessed" (sneer sneer) - yes, if you consider liberty an UNIMPORTANT thing that people are "obsessed" with, you've got it partly right. Many of us will die rather than submit to having our liberty forcibly removed or fraudulently removed. Or did you miss Patrick Henry in your public school indoctrination? I daresay you did. Asshole.

Call off the Republican war on science that kicks in whenever science runs counter to right-wing fundamentalism in religion or economics?

Oops, slight booboo there. First of all, there actually ARE competing scientific theories about all manner of subjects, and you are lying about that fact on many fronts. Most eggregiously you lie about it on the economic front - the closest thing we have to economic LAW is Austrian economics and Monetarist theory - if science is that which accurately PREDICTS, then we have uncovered some very definite economic law. (Natural law can not be invented, only discovered.) In fact, the founders pretty much instituted a society which recognized these laws even before they were fully formed theoretically (I call that prescience, I suppose) and they are the only ones that WORK. Your socialism? Doesn't. It never has, it NEVER HAS and it never will. No matter how hard you try and how fully you implement it (and yes, that HAS been done) it is not going to work, not to eliminate poverty and hunger, not to save people's lives, not to lead to liberty, and not to improve anyone's lives. (Which you falsely claim you want to do.) We have HAD a system which does all of the above, and it ain't yours. We're going to fight to get it back. Hard. And finally, IT DOESN'T MATTER IF IT WORKS for those goals (which ours does and yours doesn't) because our commitment to our personal liberty is MORE important than pragmatism. My liberty ensures yours just as Lincoln explained - do not tear down MY house and we can ensure that once you build yours it TOO will be safe from violence - liberty leads to liberty just like your fascism leads to fascism.

But together with your allies, you haul truckloads of troglodyte garbage to your flock.

"Troglodyte garbage" (do I need to add a sneer to THAT filth?)

And the way your flock sees it, the modifications that Republicans need to make to become competitive again in American politics -- acknowledging a need for state intervention to make the economy work, backing off the primitive religiosity, embracing a more tolerant pluralism -- amount to nothing less than heresy.

Let's parse this a bit, because it's rife with hate and bile. First off, we do not request or desire YOUR advice as to how to become competitive again in American Politics - our goal is no less than the reinstitution of the Constitution and the restoration of OUR FREEDOM, sir. I don't give a fuck if that ever leads to being "competitive in American Politics" and no one who BELIEVES in it cares about that either. It usually coincides - despite your ridiculous proclamations that conservatives/libertarians need to bend to the will of the left, the fact remains that actual conservatism/libertarianism is almost always competitive in politics, usually in ACTUAL landslides (not like your falsely proclaimed landslide for Obamassiah.) It is NOT the result, it is the principle of the thing - we will not cede our liberty further - not one step further - without a fight to the death. It's that simple. Mock it as much as you wish; it is not about winning elections. Get used to that fact - we "fanatics" are more dangerous than politicians (grin.) But to continue parsing, "acknowledging a need for government intervention to make the economy work"?

------------------

BWAHAHAHA!

Sorry, that was funny. In a sick way. You don't know a THING about economic law, and you just showed what a fucking idiot you are by saying that. I'm not here to educate you on that one - pick up a BOOK you farcical bitch.

To continue parsing, "backing off the primitive religiosity." How DARE you? How fucking DARE you? Who the HELL do you think you are? Do you see, my friends? Do you SEE what contempt these people hold you in? Do you SEE the loathing, do you FEEL it? (And believe me, you don't have to be a Buddhist or a Jew or a Christian to be included in his category of primitive religiosity - he's already made that clear. Believing in free markets is enough.)

You want to see PRIMITIVE RELIGIOSITY you absolute VERMIN? Take a look at the rarely seen video of the stoning - STONING - of the 17 year old Kurdish girl in Northern Iraq by her Kurdish community because she wanted to marry a young man of the "wrong" faith. STONING, you scum, is an up-close and personal way of MURDERING someone which requires a brutality that I can not even begin to fathom, even though I saw it with my own eyes. You have to STAND there and lob hunks of concrete at an innocent young girl UP CLOSE, hear her SCREAM for mercy, watch her fall with blood streaming down her head and body, watch her fall and listlessly try to rise (unsuccessfully) and continue to hurl rocks at her until she's dead...and keep going.

You want PRIMITIVE RELIGIOSITY you FILTHY SUBHUMAN - check out the child-witches of Nigeria where the priests declare 5 year olds to be witches and wizards in order to garner a year's pay from the peasants to "cleanse" them...and when that fails, the children are cast out of their homes to starve to death, or they are brutally murdered.

You want PRIMITIVE RELIGIOSITY you pompous sonofabitch, try THIS. And get the fuck OUT of our conversation. You are not remotely welcome.

Now remind yourselves of this contempt every day, conservatives/libertarians. STOP pandering to race-baiting hatemongers who HATE YOU and HATE everything you believe in. STOP reaching across the aisles and stand for the Constitution, the Declaration, for our personal liberty, and for the free market which is the only hope of the world in regards to hunger, poverty, filth, disease, and early death.

Wake up. Kick that shit OUT of your movement, STOP pandering to it, and stand up for your rights, your freedom, your families, your future and the future of the world. Stand up for the greatest country that has ever existed on the planet. Do. the. right. thing.

By the way, my apologies to my Christian audience who is offended by foul language. I'm sorry, but it's one of those things that happens when FOUL ideas accompany FOUL people into a FOUL environment and try to BEFOUL us all. I've been toning it down, but the hatred of these people is beyond the pale - their hatred for you and yours. I hate them little less, to be honest. So I speak foul. Perhaps future times can be toned down again, but this wasn't one of them. These people are utterly vile, and that's all there is to it.

Oh REALLY?

"But beyond the biofuel implications, Strobel said that because the fungus can manufacture what we would normally think of as components of crude oil, it casts some doubt on the idea that crude oil is a fossil fuel.

"It may be the case that organisms like this produced some — maybe not all — but some of the world's crude," Strobel said."

But if you suggested that exact thing and were perhaps a creation scientist, or a Christian, or even just a conservative/libertarian, you were supposed to be an anti-scientific moron.

Gee, I *thought* that most scientific theory wasn't set in stone and that there are, in fact, competing theories with regard to things like allegedly "non-renewable" resources (based on, you know, actual evidence) but being shouted down so long by the enlightened elite just made me want to stop talking about it. Go figure.

Reality

“Property is the fruit of labor... Property is desirable...is a positive good in the world. That some should be rich shows that others may become rich, and hence is just encouragement to industry and enterprise. Let not him who is houseless pull down the house of another; but let him labor diligently and build one for himself, thus by example assuring that his own shall be safe from violence when built.

(Abraham Lincoln, Reply to New York Workingmen's Democratic Republican Association, March 21, 1864.)

"The statesman who would attempt to direct private people in what manner they ought to employ their capitals, would not only load himself with a most unnecessary attention, but assume an authority which could safely be trusted to no council and senate whatever, and which would nowhere be so dangerous as in the hands of a man who had folly and presumption enough to fancy himself fit to exercise it." – Adam Smith

"We contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle." Winston Churchill

"The American Republic will endure until the day Congress discovers that it can bribe the public with the public's money." Alexis de Tocqueville

“We must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt. We must make our election between economy and liberty or profusion and servitude. If we run into such debt, as that we must be taxed in our meat and in our drink, in our necessaries and our comforts, in our labors and our amusements, for our calling and our creeds...[we will] have no time to think, no means of calling our miss-managers to account but be glad to obtain subsistence by hiring ourselves to rivet their chains on the necks of our fellow-sufferers... And this is the tendency of all human governments.” Thomas Jefferson

“Single acts of tyranny may be ascribed to the accidental opinion of the day; but a series of oppressions, begun at a distinguished period, and pursued unalterably through every change of ministers (administrators) too plainly proves a deliberate, systematic plan of reducing us to slavery.” Thomas Jefferson

My rights end where yours begin. You’d think that’s a no-brainer, wouldn’t you? The Constitution, which is what we are referring to when we say we love this country and what it stands for, was designed for that purpose among men. It can also be stated as Jefferson stated it: “A wise and frugal Government, which shall restrain men from injuring one another, shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement.” This is the practical application of my rights ending only where yours begin, and it applies ESPECIALLY so to the government, which is not benefactor, but force, fire, law, coercion. And it is zero-sum - all people can have liberty, but every increase in government power is *necessarily* and by definition a decrease in personal liberty. It should be viewed as such, as a necessary evil that will only be tolerated in the smallest amounts.

Yet I hear hard leftists proclaiming to “love this country” and proclaiming to believe that “my rights end where yours begin” and am perversely disgusted and amazed. They keep using those words – it doesn’t mean what they think it means. Actually, I am no longer interested in having a dialogue with the left (no, seriously, I want nothing to do with you) or searching for nonexistent common ground with such people – they’re unhinged, and just plain wrong. What’s more important is that people who really DO care about this country, who DO value and wish to uphold the constitution, who DO contribute to society and wish to build it up rather than tear it down, start understanding what they have to kick out from among their ranks.

To the left I mostly have to ask just who the hell you think you are to try to FORCE the rest of the country into your coercive, socialist, completely unconstitutional scheme? What RIGHT do you think you have to take what your neighbor has produced and built because you haven’t bothered to build your own? Under a free system comprised of free people, you could go form all the little socialist societies you want – all the communes, all the societies that you like – what POSSIBLE right do you think you have to force us ALL to live your way? You can take everything you make and give it to anyone you want – hell, you can set up any kind of charity system that floats your damned boat – but you instead wish to steal it from your neighbors at the point of a gun. Don’t you ever speak to me of liberty or rights, vermin. And that’s all I have to say to them.

More importantly is that there is no time left to play pussyfoot with half-assed, establishment candidates who not only openly speak of RULING us and “leading” us, but have systematically oppressed the American people, in that gradual series of oppressions pursued unalterably throughout various administrations in order to enslave us. This series of oppressions has been pursued to varying degrees since at least 1929 (and arguably earlier) with brief bursts back towards liberty in some instances (the post-Kennedy tax cuts, his legacy, Ronald Reagan).

It is actually unfair to blame the open left for what the rest of society has allowed to happen. They don’t make bones about what they want. There have been countless increments, countless warnings – we can’t claim ignorance of the leftist takeover of educational institutions to the exclusion of knowledge and common sense – to be honest, we can’t pretend that anything else COULD come of a government system that is applied by force in the first place. A socialist system of education enforced upon the people at large for the express purpose of teaching their young what to think? What could possibly go wrong with that? Succumbing as a public to the bribes made with our own property? No, the frog may have excuse with his tiny brain for letting himself be boiled degree by degree, but we’re sentient beings, and we have no such excuse. We have ceded our liberty inch by inch until the only meaningful *choice* that was left was between a pro-war reluctant socialist and a socialist reluctant pro-warrior. The only thing on either ticket that remotely embraced any version of liberty and constitutionalism was Sarah Palin, and you see how ALL of them did her.

Fortunately she had the effect of reassuring people that the constitution, that liberty were not yet dead in the realm of politicians – just badly, badly wounded. She gave hope to literally millions of people that this is not going to be the last of us fighting for the constitution, for individual liberty, for the growth of the nation.

The imperative is abundantly clear – to completely oust the halfway socialists, the appeasers to the left, the entrenched political personalities and memes that have occluded our clear view of the constitution and our rights and liberties. To rise up in clear defense of the constitution, of our liberties, WITHOUT compromise (because our constitution and our liberties are nonnegotiable) and DEFEAT all who would subvert them and remake this nation into something it was never intended to be. Now there are plenty of places you can go if you wish to live socialism – and if we manage to save this country from ruin, they will likely be able to continue to enjoy their “benign” faux-utopias because their continued existence depends on our salvation and continuance. So go there. Or did you imagine we have to build walls to keep people IN, you idiots? If you want to live here, you are going to have to live by the constitution and form your own socialist societies within it if that’s what you want so bad, and that means you faux-“conservatives” – yes I’m looking at you George Bush, and John McCain, and Bush Sr. and everyone else in the freaking room – are either going to do so or you’re going to the back of the bus and shut the fuck up while, as others have so aptly put it, the adults drive. We aren’t going to put up with another degree, and we’re going to turn on the COOLING system full-force.

Which means for example, don’t you EVER tell me how you, Mr. Congressman or Ms. President, are going to improve the schools – tell me how you’re going to get the federal government OUT of the education business entirely and give the schools back to their respective states. Tell me how you’re going to repeal mandatory attendance laws and give inspirational speeches to get local people involved with their own responsibilities.

It means I don’t want to hear how you’re going to “improve the health care system” except to get the hell out of it and LET IT DO WHAT IT DOES. How you are going to give this country BACK to the people who own it and make it – that’s what you better be telling me from here on in. I will brook no less. Any less and I swear unto my very death to oppose you, to do my best to sabotage your every effort, to mock, deride and ridicule your purposes as loudly and publicly as it is possible to do, to throw any possible wrench into the works that you intend to do. This is my message to the “moderates”, to the McCains and the Bushes and the half-assed non-liberty non-constitutionalist appeasers. To the open left, you seem to have invited something of a civil conflict – so be it. I’ll be on the other side of it than you, just for the record. Win, lose or die. Remember -

New Brownshirts

Yeah, that. Not content with the department of homeland security he wants to build a civilian army/militia and fund/equip it equal to the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. Factcheck.org lies and says oh, that's not what he means. Uh, yeah he does. The Black Panthers standing security around polling places were just the shreds of the beginning.

Now I don't know how scary to find all this - the guy has promised such immense, nonsensical impossibilities in such high numbers (and is finding out he doesn't even really have a clue how to actually do ANY of them - he might be reduced to simply reversing every executive order signed in the last 8 years, and that's fine with me) - but if he manages to get some momentum these things are going to have to be fought every step of the way. It's going to be upon the sane among us to STOP shit like mandatory servitude to the country in brownshirt operations before they ever get off the launching pad. It's going to be up to us to be watching with hawk-eyes peeled, for any SIGN that these things are being begun quietly, without going through proper channels (what is the proper channel for setting up a US Schutzstaffel/KGB, by the way? He's gonna have to make new channels - another thing we're going to have to watch out for.)

It's going to remain to be seen how frightened we should be - clearly this guy MEANS to dismantle every institution and system we have had in place for 200 years and replace it with a communist utopia, but intent without know-how or intelligence may not get someone too far; especially when the bar is set so impossibly high. Remaking a country in your image? That isn't easy, even if all the circumstances converge (the way they did for Stalin and Hitler and Mussolini et. al.) and you have a dumbed-down, willing populace (check) and a charismatic Dear Leader (go ahead and tell me he's charismatic, but all I see is a jug-eared, weird-looking guy who's speech patterns get right the fuck on my nerves every time, and a smirk that makes me want to slap it off his face - so yeah, I don't see the draw.)

A civilian security force as well-funded and armed as the armed forces. Involuntary servitude. Central planning you can believe in!

While we're on the subject, Jim Treacher has a piece up about it. Enjoy. (November 16 entry.)

Unintentional Hilarity

It's a little late for tears, ISN'T IT BARBARA!? If it were just the horrid narration, it would fall a little flat, but it's much more.

We start off with the young slattern, Barbara, bawling her eyes out while the narrator berates her mercilessly. Then starts 14 minutes of relentless Barbara-bashing, detailing painfully just how every single aspect of Barbara's being is wrong, socially unacceptable, and icky. Her obsessive-compulsive neighbor, Helen, is held up as the acceptable, approved version of girlhood. Barbara is informed that her every single day starts out WRONG and goes further wrong from there...and that all her neighbors are laughing at her for it.

Some of it's just too funny - her sweater has "spots" on it - try a huge 7-inch diameter gunshot stain directly at the neck. Instead of grabbing a different sweater she ineptly covers it with a scarf, except she's so stupid she keeps letting the scarf hang to the side so everyone can see her filthy top. Oh, the shame she's bringing to her mother.

Then she and Helen get invited to the popular girl's house for an after-school get-together; they both pretty much wet their pants at the prospect, but this is clearly not Barbie's crowd. These girls are sitting around knitting, discussing literature and high culture, while Barbie sits around pondering how not to gouge out her eyes at the prospect of what her future looks like in Stepford. She plans how she might bomb the men's association building before she forgets the meaning of the word "archaic" and doesn't bleed next time someone stabs her. Her sense of boredom and impending horror grow until, beaten by the fact that not one of these kids is anything less than anal-retentive and obsessed, she goes home to weep at what society has wrought.

In the end she is admonished to "root out the poor accidental habits and establish in their place the good habits approved by custom, accepted by society" and that is the final straw. She dutifully picks up her discarded robe, and turns out the light, then begins planning.

Tune in next time when Barbara turns on, tunes in, drops out and joins the counterculture, returns with a fully-automated Uzi to shoot up the school and the ladies' society luncheon, starts a co-op and learns macrame, and eventually fully self-actualizes in "Looking for Mr. Goodbar."

Bash Back/Act Up

Targets expanding to include more states, more churches, blacks**, and neighbors.

**Biased reporting in that one; it's the incidents I was concerned with.

I'm not taking a stance on the propositions; I'm just feeling the hope and change. Though it is interesting that in one case a majority vote is seen as 'of the people' in action, in another case it's just bad math/money-bought. Or something. Hypocrisy is often quite stunning in its audacity, but that's nothing new. Just apply that same math to the general election and it comes out...oh, I don't know...as the opposite of what actually happened? It's only valid if it comes out the way we want it to, don't you know. And if you don't like how it came out, just light fires.

I could look at this map all day and point out how ludicrous it is that Obama won, but according to the way our governance is set up, he did. Them's the breaks. Judicial activism may end up leading you to a place you don't like at all; best not to keep pushing for it - sort of like deciding on a jury trial instead of going before a judge - you take your chances when that happens. It's a roll of the dice at best, and considering how these votes have gone so far in the country, it's not a very safe one. Keep pushing for judges to usurp the legislature and make law from the bench, you end up with a jury of the voters - and that can go bad real easy. Now it'll be that much harder to get.

Blogging Around

Some good reads and new places to check out.

"When We Are Queen" - two Swiftian Satirical Sisters have a good cautionary tale up right now. Check it out!

Reason just spanked me and millions of others pretty good - on the left and the right. Unfortunately they're spot on with all of it. Ouch!

And the good old standby "Blame Bush" - it's like Poe's Law on Parade, except for the left instead of Christian fundamentalists.

Have fun, and remember to laugh :)

60% of poll respondents said Obama's doing a good job as president. Hehe. 85% say they are stupid media pawns who approve or disapprove of the president based on what the media tells them to think - and don't even know who's president anyway.

Now THIS is just precious:

ED HENRY: What really struck the Obama camp was how gracious President Bush was.

KATIE COURIC: It was one gracious couple welcoming another.

JAKE TAPPER: The Senator remarked how gracious President Bush was.

LISA CAPUTO: They were incredibly gracious.

BOB HERBERT: President and Mrs. Bush were extremely gracious.

GLORIA BORGER: George W. Bush has been incredibly gracious.

JAY CARNEY: President Bush has made this pretty easy by being so gracious.

KYRA PHILLIPS: It's very gracious of President Bush.

RICHARD WOLFFE: Everything we're hearing is that he was very, very gracious.

JOHN HARWOOD: This is President Bush at his best and, being very gracious.

BRET BAIER: ...a visit that aides described as gracious.

FRED BARNES: The Bushes are very gracious and decent people.

CHRIS PLANTE: The Bushes who are very gracious people.

DAVID GERGEN: They are being gracious about it.

MIKE EMANUEL: President Bush has been totally gracious.

ALLAN LICHTMAN: President Bush has been extremely gracious.

ANDREA MITCHELL: Laura and George Bush could not have been more gracious.

PAUL "THE FOREHEAD" BEGALA: The grace, class that the Bushes showed...

CHARLIE ROSE: I keep hearing reports that the President has been very gracious about all this.

BROWN: I think more than anything else he probably for the first time had come to the reality that this is not necessarily an evil person; that you may have a disagreement with his views; you may have a disagreement with his policies but he's really a charming, warm, wonderful human being.

RUSH: "The last two voices you heard were "The Forehead," Paul Begala; and Charlie Rose. Now, this is beyond absurd and it is infuriating. Because whatever you think on policy, all of these people have known for eight years what a decent and gracious man George W. Bush is. They sought to destroy him. He didn't fight back. Now all of a sudden that he's being nice to Obama, he's being nice to The Messiah, "Why, look at what a gracious and decent guy George W. Bush is!" It's another indictment of the unprofessionalism of journalists today."

What did they EXPECT to happen? The Bush people would vandalize the White House and even remove all the "O" keys from the keyboards? Oh, wait.

So they've known all along Bush is a decent man, a gracious man, despite disagreeing with his policies; and chose instead to besmirch and smear him with the vilest charges and slurs possible - the mildest of which were "Hitler" and "evil." Now he's a decent man. I tell you something; I knew that man wasn't an economic conservative from the beginning, and he certainly wouldn't have been my pick. I also knew he would do everything possible to "reach across the aisles" and try to appease the unappeasable hatemongering left, and so he did. But I never once believed he was a consummate liar, an indecent human being, a dishonorable man. And he isn't.

Bush, you've put up with nonstop abuse and media-manufactured "disapproval" for 8 years. You brought hope and comfort to the rescue workers at Ground Zero when you got there (while Clinton walked the streets stopping people to tell anyone who would listen that he had been "that close" to capturing bin Laden, that close!) You have wept with the families of our servicemen and have wept for those lost. You did what you had to do, and you never put your boot up the asses of the people who deserved it. Rest. Rest well. I wish you all the best, sir.

Test Post

Well. I needed to do a test post considering Vesta only just now told me where I fucked up. Thank you my friend. Thank you.
Try this for an eye-opening 3-d version.Well well well. Looks like most of the country is still red after all. Even with the weakest, least conservative Republican imaginable. Sure we're under the tyranny of the cities even now - especially now, since they continue to overpopulate themselves. But the salt of the earth is still firmly conservative. So listen, caucii and Primaries - close the freaking primaries, no more with the worst, least conservative candidate as nominee, and in 4 years this whole nightmare will be over. (Not that people aren't going to be clamoring for a change after the economic ruin we're looking in the face, but whatever.)

Two must reads. The black death eh? Well, that's a new one.

And for some dearly needed snark - thanks to our friends across the pond!

Isn't that special. Of course it's hard to salute when the person singing sounds like a pack of cats who've been in heat for the last year, but still.

To the 52. "In fact, you have taken to the streets quite a bit with your effigies and burning flags over the last eight years, all the time chanting your slogans and claiming Bush = Hitler and Cheney = Himmler and AmeriKKKa = oppression and fascism. Somehow it escapes you completely that if these things were true you would have been arrested, if not outright executed on the spot.

I've noticed that you aren't very familiar with history at all." That's for sure. And our 401K plans are going to be looted in order to give a "fair share" both to those of us who've saved them out of our own earnings and to those who've never earned a dime. Nice.

To everyone in this sickening, puke-inducing picture series, uh, yeah, no. Forget it. "Your behavior is a perfect analogy to an abusive husband who, after 8 years of beating, denigrating and otherwise making life living Hell for his wife suddenly decides that it’s time to “make up and work together”, as if his poor wife had anything to do with the deplorable situation in the FIRST fucking place."

I'm sure all the "godbag"s and "Christofascists" and "Bush sent two remote control planes into the trade towers then brought them down in a controlled demolition" and "Bushitler" and "The Chimp" and the burning of effigies, and burning the American flag and "selected, not elected" and "bigots!" and countless other continual smears, you seem a little worried we're going to do to you what you've done to us. Yeah, probably. Though most people on the other side have something called "honor" and will never sink so low as you have; how humiliated you should be at your own behavior and your current "Oopsie! Hehe...we're really all just friends, right guys?"

Good luck with that one. When the money people have saved for their entire adult lives to prepare for their retirement is confiscated to be turned into a new welfare payout, I expect there to be rioting and blood in the streets. Looks like it's the lazy who are really the greedy ones after all. Go figure.

"All workers would have 5 percent of their annual pay deducted from their paychecks and deposited to the GRA. They would still be paying Social Security and Medicare taxes, as would the employers. The GRA contribution would be shared equally by the worker and the employee. Employers no longer would be able to write off their contributions. Any capital gains would be taxable year-on-year.

Analysts point to another disturbing part of the plan. With a GRA, workers could bequeath only half of their account balances to their heirs, unlike full balances from existing 401(k) and IRA accounts. For workers who die after retiring, they could bequeath just their own contributions plus the interest but minus any benefits received and minus the employer contributions."

Sounds GREAT! Where do I sign up? Oh yeah...you already signed me up when you voted for Nobama. If you're stupid enough to have an IRA, cut your losses now - buy gold and store it in a safe in your house. When the housing confiscation comes down, put it somewhere else. 2012 - vote no on communism and yes to individual liberty and property. Daily Humor: Uh...yep. That's how it works all right. LOL

Already?

LOVE the way she browbeats that poor little girl who's father is serving in the military. Disgusting. And people wonder why people opt the hell out of the public school system - duh! No, no indoctrination there - none at all! Idiotic teachers who know nothing, can't speak English, and bully kids...nice.

Anyway, what did I mean, "Already?" Enjoy it; there's going to be at least 4 years of laughter, and we're getting an early leg up. Campaign workers who thought their gas tanks would magically be filled from now on, to get them to the free doctor, while having their mortgages paid by fairies got a little bit of a shock at the "system" eh?

"The line was long and the crowd was angry at times."

Well get used to it; lines are your new way of life. Wait until it's a line for the doctor when you've waited 6 months already. Lines for gas, lines for food, lines for the doctor, lines for rent money - the fun of lines. (I remember them well.) Except they'll be a lot longer.

"I want my money today! It's my money. I want it right now!" yelled one former campaign worker."

It's been redistributed. And zoinks, did you just describe how those of us who pay taxes feel on April 15? Get used to it. Nothing is "yours" in socialism. Sorry. You gave according to your ability and you got what you needed; others need the rest even more.

""Talking about they'll mail it to us. I ain't worried about that, man. They're not going to mail nothin'," said Martin."

Now you're getting the hint.

h/t to The Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler. Nice doggie!

For a bit of dark humor, I am going to suggest this piece. What I like best is that a piece like this might make it past the Coming Censors For Our Great Leader. You'll see why when you look.

In the meantime two snippets to whet your appetite: "Call me an optimist, but I like to think when America's breadlines erupt into riots it will be because of our shared starvation, not the differences in our color."

"Dr. King said "I have a dream that one day my children will live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." Let us now take pride that Tuesday we Americans proved that neither thing matters anymore."

Go ahead and read it. You know you want to. It made me laugh :)

Actually, that's two days in a row I'm laughing. And today is better than yesterday. Keep your spirits up, folks. Stock up on your ammo and cling bitterly to your families and religion, but never be downcast. It's going to be interesting and it's going to be fun.

They AM Stupid! Thanks Howard Stern

Hehe. I have GOT to get that radio service; I've been missing Stern for years.

You Get What You Pay For

Heh. Convict Bush Now! signs and Soviet Flags. Ahhh, the smell of communism in the morning. UPDATE: Now, now, I've been hearing some less than respectful comments here and there. I think it's time we put this petty partisanship behind us and showed this president-elect the same respect that we'd show any president. You know, the same respect that the left has shown for the past 40 years or so. Oh, wait. Oops.

Not Surprising

"President Obama began this process last night, in his victory speech, when he noted that restoring the country's health might take more than a term. In the next few weeks, he should go well beyond this: The deficit will be more than $1 trillion a year for several years The country needs a massive new fiscal stimulus The housing market will continue to decline through at least 2010 Interest rates and taxes will eventually have to rise (after the economy stabilizes) Weak corporations have to be allowed to fail Millions of homeowners will lose their house Unemployment will probably rise to 10% The government simply cannot "bail the country out" -- not because it lacks the will, but because it lacks the power In short, Obama needs to acknowedge reality, erring on the side of overstating the problems and challenges, and he needs to prepare the country for several tough years. Because if he doesn't, within six months of his taking office, the country will have forgotten all about the prior administration and will instead be blaming everything on him." Yeah! What? Um. Reminds me of Boiler Room - "A B C" (Always Be Closing - in this case, Always Be Campaigning.) The concession speech had hardly been finished and he starts campaigning for 2012 because he knows he's going to fail in the first term? And we're being prepared to have that failure blamed on George Bush? Am I reading something wrong here? Also - didn't he just get through saying he was going to CUT taxes? Now he's going to raise them? (Duh.) And SAVE people's houses with a moratorium on foreclosure? Now people are going to have taxes raised and lose their houses? Whuuu? And there was an Obama supporter interviewed last night in the crowd who actually said, "This is great! Now I don't have to worry about putting gas in my car, I don't have to worry about paying my mortgage! If I help him, he'll help me!" Talk about public education going to hell - this is what people actually think? Yeah. No. It doesn't work that way, honey. Not to mention, he is apparently going back on every single promise and campaigning for the next election LOL (Has he ever done anything but campaign for the next election? Not in Illinois, not in the senate...never. Yet.) Wow. This is going to be a HELLA interesting 4 years. And just remember, no matter what happens, IT'S BUSH'S FAULT! Even in 2014, it's STILL BUSH'S FAULT! LOL - guys, I know this is not going to be all fun and games because real people are going to be hurt and even killed, but there really are going to be some laughs. Look at them piling up already :) UPDATE: "Given the profound weakness in the economy, Mr. Obama has backed away from his promises to increase taxes on the returns on human capital (his redistributive tax on the top 2% of earners), and on physical capital (capital gains, dividends and corporate profits). He recognizes that what we need is more investment in all these forms of capital to stimulate the economy, and that private investment is the best way to achieve it." Is that a new record for breaking all campaign promises? I mean, before the polls were all closed this happened. That's got to be a record. Guess you might have to fill your own gas tanks after all, hehe. And wait a second...pray tell, Obama KNOWS that the only hope for a tanking economy is NOT to raise taxes? What's that? Sheeple, you are going to have this shit, and your own words, shoved back in your faces for the next four years. Every word that you have to eat will be kept track of. There's your first helping. Get ready for more. Lesson for those who want to be "moderate" and "reach across the aisles" (McCain loved to do that, and did it by constantly going after Republicans) - this is what you get for reaching across the aisle: "The fact that Mister "Respectful Campain" ran one of the dirtiest, nastiest campaigns in history (and certainly one of the nastiest I've ever seen), and that "the Maverick," who was so proud of going against his party, fell back on tradition and appealed to the worst parts of his party out of desperation, somehow had nothing to do with voters turning away from McCain in droves." You reach across the aisle, they break your arm. Walk across the aisle and they bust your kneecaps. And then beat you with a baseball bat as you walk away. SO STOP DOING IT. Stop appeasing the hard left (who will never, ever be appeased) and take a fucking stand already. Stand for something, even though people will disagree. Or your party is going the way of the Whigs.

The American People Have Spoken

And they AM STUPID! It's official...a majority of the people in the United States are morons. But, honestly, did you doubt that? We've been systematically pumping idiocy and socialism into the publik skruuls for a LONG TIME. How would it be possible that a majority WERE NOT dumb? It wasn't. I look forward to the Schadenfreude, naturally - and make no mistake, my friends, there WILL be Schadenfreude here. The weakest possible Republican candidate got the nomination against the strongest possible communist...in a year when the Repubs haven't made the election since Truman. There was very little chance, even without fraud (as happened pretty openly). Woulda, coulda, shoulda make no difference now. Do stock up on your firearms and ammo, though. Buy a generator (remember, Obama promised electricity will skyrocket under his watch). Don't join the service right now if you're not in already. God bless our boys who are already serving. There is no dotcom bubble coming. There will be no fake salvation under this messiah. The gold on tin gods rubs off quickly. If talk radio goes down, I will be abandoning this blog, of course - if dissent is stifled (Joe the Plumber might tell you a bit about that) I will shut up because I have a very healthy dose of self- and family-interest. But for the next 2 1/2 months, I'm going to laugh and dance. I will toast RIGHT NOW the last American president - George Bush. And believe me, he was NOT my first choice in the 2000 primaries, nor do I appreciate his appeasement of the left for the last 8 years. God bless you all, my fellow Americans. I will not be watching the gloating of the left - no longer to immerse myself in leftist blogs and media. I ignored the news for 8 years under Clinton and I will do so now. I will likely be out of a job like most people will - but hey, the One promises to pay my mortgage anyway. Great deal friend - pay it while I move to Alaska :) We'll be here as usual for the time being, though.

Still in Love

Somebody appoint this guy to a cabinet post.

Black Panthers Not Intimidating?

"So we have a bit of a dust-up about a couple of guys up at 12th and Fairmount standing outside a polling place. Wearing clothes with the emblem of the New Black Panther Party. And holding a night stick. Fox News and Michelle Malkin jumped all over it. Media Lizzy has a video here of a young man who identifies himself as a "media person" and poll watcher from the University of Pennsylvania walking up to the guy with the nightstick and asking questions. The guy with the stick claims to be "security" and asks why people are taking his picture. And then we get this: "I think it might be a little bit intimidating for you to have a stick in your hand," Media Guy says. "Who are you to decide?" Black Panther Guy asks. "I'm a concerned citizen," Media Guy continues. "And so are we. That's why we're here," Black Panther Guy responds." Apparently some of the reporting went that Republicans were intimidating Dems in Delaware and that The Black Panthers were "guarding" polls in Fairmont. Because Repubs are intimidating and the Black Panthers aren't. Must be part of Obama's "Civilian Security Force." Which is pretty scary stuff; I suggest reading it. Also, voting twice or more in Philly. Wait a minute - hold the PHONE - doesn't that mean that the false registrations they were saying DON'T lead to actual vote fraud, actually DID lead to vote fraud? Well DAMN, I don't know HOW that could happen! Scratching my head, wondering WHY Republicans want to purge voter rolls...it's a mystery.

This is Awesome

I'm in love. Can he run next time, please? Also, just as I warned you. They plan to call it, based on PROJECTIONS, before the actual returns. Based on exit polls and speculation. Gotta love their honesty - the idea is to call Obama early and then move on to whether he'll get a majority in congress. Just remember, it's not the exit polls or projections that matter - it's the returns. Quite an interesting spin they're putting on their own behavior in 2000 and 2004. Anyone but me remember how the entire crew of the Today show and every other morning show wore black - ALL OF THEM - the day Gore finally conceded? Hehe - they're so in the tank it's hilarious. Obama the press' wet dream. Pfft.

Yeah Right...Loser

That was the exact response given by Sidney Jackson, Director, Marketing and Admissions, Columbia Business School, Executive MBA Programs, when asked to release the videotape of Obama toasting his personal friend Khalidi at an event reportedly attended by Ayers as well. Nice, huh? Five Reasons Obama Lost the Election. These Hillbuzz people are actually pretty interesting. Of course their candidate (Hillary) is an Alinski disciple as well, and no less a socialist than Obama is, but they've made for some good reading of late. Worth a read.

Obama's Plumbers

Confirmed - "Child Support Snooper" is an Obama max donor. Who didn't know this? Charges have already been filed against people who used government computers to launch a dirt-digging campaign against this guy - let's hope this scumbag gets her due as well. Talk about burying a news story - Palin has been cleared of wrongdoing in the trooper case; at least they waited until the day before the election to report anything on it. I'm surprised they didn't wait until Wednesday, at least. This isn't new, but it's really a dumb quote - "I can. And I think that's the tone that we've set from the beginning of this campaign. I mean, look. Is Sean Hannity suddenly going to get on the air waves and say 'You know, I was wrong about this Obama guy, he's my man.' No, that's not going to happen. I mean's there's going to be a certain wing of the Republican Party that is, you know, dug in and resistant to the notion that we need to change direction." If he's so intelligent - a soooooper genius to hear the left tell it - how is it possible that he doesn't understand what the hell he's talking about here? Senator, is it possible that you BELIEVE that the reason people like Hannity or like myself wouldn't ever vote for you because they DON'T LIKE YOU PERSONALLY? Do you think they say, "Damn, that guy rubs me the wrong way - I just don't like him. No, sir, I won't vote for him"? Because that's not it. At all. It has never been an issue of liking you or not liking you. The fact is, sir, that many of us stand firmly against the things you believe in. You believe in socialistic economics, and many of us know that that way madness and ruin lies. Therefore, such people would never vote for you on that score alone. And did you really think that once people found out what you'd been listening to in church for twenty years - the most vile, hate-filled rants imaginable - and praised the man to the skies - that people would see that and say "God DAMN, but this guy is great - let's vote for him"? How could you possibly think that was going to happen? This isn't Palestine, where you can, like Arafat, say one thing to the Western media about conciliation and peace, then turn around the minute they're gone and say in Arabic that you were going to slaughter every Jew in Israel, and expect to win a peace prize for doing it. You can kick all the news reporters off your plane that you want (as you did the honest news-gathering reporters from papers that had endorsed McCain) to make room for as many HBO spin mockumentaries about you that you want, but that won't stop us from finding out when you go bowling with Pennsylvanians one day and the next when you're with the hip urban people tell them that those bowling idiots were backwards racists bitterly clinging to their guns and religion because they don't like the color of your skin. You were an idiot for thinking that one was going to fly. No, if you lose this you will have no one to blame but yourself and your leftist party - THEY were the only ones who were ever going to vote for you. Conservatives, libertarians, they were never going to vote for you in the first place. Believe me, it's not just a "wing" of the Republican party that won't vote for you - if those people stay home it's because they don't like McCain, not because they ever considered voting for you or your ilk. There are plenty of people who do NOT wish to throw out the constitution and usher in an age of socialist government bent on destroying the United States that has existed for 200 years, and it has nothing to do with whether they LIKE you - it has to do with the fact that you stand for something they are diametrically opposed to, and you can't fool them by pretending now that you don't. So it's a very safe bet that there will never come a day when Mr. Hannity or myself or many many other people will ever vote for someone like you or Hillary - they might stay home because there is not a better option, but they are not going to support you ever. I wish you would understand why, admit it to yourself. Because until you do, statements like that just make me wonder how in the hell you ever COULD have gotten into Harvard. Daily Humor:

Exit Polls

Just a word of encouragement to get you through the tense tomorrow, at which time this blog either becomes a celebration or a felony hate crime. Also, here is your general timeline for the events that are going to happen - read it. First I'll go back four years - in 2004, on November 4, a Tuesday, by the time 5 and 6 pm rolled around here on the East Coast, exit polls (polling of people coming out of the election booth) were so highly in favor of John Kerry that the press had basically CALLED the election for him. As we know very well, he most surely did not win the election. Going county by county, it wasn't even close. So there's that. Let's go back a bit further, to 1984. Mondale/Ferraro were challenging Ronald Reagan. I was sure Reagan was going to blow us all up, outlaw abortion, and start WWIII. Instead jobs were so plentiful you never had to look for more than a day (even without a high school diploma) - most of the time your phone would be ringing off the hook if you said you were available, the Berlin Wall came down, the Soviet Untion collapsed, and abortion kept going on without a hitch and became more widely available. But Mondale was going to win! The papers said so, the TV news said so, the polls said so, the exit polls said so - hell, the sitcoms even said so (remember Family Ties?) My boyfriend and I sat in my room watching the returns come in - it was a sure thing! And one after another after another, I watched with mounting horror as each state fell to the blue. (Yes, it was blue then for Republican - they changed it to piss off the conservatives, if you ask me.) It was a LANDSLIDE. The entire map was blue - what did Mondale win, a couple states? People were absolutely STUNNED - this was not supposed to happen. They told us it wouldn't happen. They promised! See what they said in 1980, just in case you doubt me. And we mustn't forget to go back to 1972, the Nixon/McGovern election, where the press had it all sewn up for McGovern, and people watched, stunned, as the Silent Majority won it handily for Nixon. Since at least that time it has always been this way. It's hard to imagine just HOW stunned people are going to be if and when what they believe in so strongly (the polls say so!) just doesn't happen. And also it's kind of funny to think about. Those would be some rather sweet tears, seriously. I won't cry either way; we made it through Carter ruination and we'll make it through this too. One way or another, one day at a time. Life is short but it's wide. It passes. However don't let your heart be troubled. Do not get overexcited and jump the gun - the only poll that matters is the vote, and until the returns are in, you don't count your chickens. Please don't forget to read the article I linked below. It's mandatory pre-election reading! And give this one a try - Obama promises to bankrupt you if you don't help him part the seas. He also says the cost of your electricity is going to *necessarily skyrocket* after he's in charge...that thousand dollars is going to do you a WHOLE lot of good when your electricity costs 5 times as much as it does now, huh? Correction to above - Mondale took ONE STATE, not a couple. LOL
